It’s also funny how these dorks act like they’re in some secret club when people have been going to that part of the world to find women for like 70 years

what will really trip them out is when they really find out what people think when they hear about their trip to one of these well known sex tourism hot spots... ain't nobody thinks you went there for the local cuisine, chief...

I had a native Vietnamese girl I saw here for a bit. She of course wanted me to support her and her daughter, but I had to draw the line on her mother living in my house. The sex was nice, but not that nice.

Dating a foreigner is a balancing act. You want traditional values out of her but she wants her whole family along. I'm lucky her family is already legal and established

As you can see, there's no "secret to keep" BK. All these people in here with their jokes, they already know everything about Vietnam. OP drunkenly made the mistake of making statements that played right into their "expertise" about the people and the place, so I have no duty to protect to truth. I could write plenty about what Ho Chi Minh City is actually like, but no one would care and it wouldn't change all the "daaauuhh, she has a pee-pee, hows yer buthowl, heehee" but what can you expect with what OP posted. The currency in Vietnam is called the 'dong' however, and that will never stop being funny to me. I'm just glad he had fun, it's a cool place to be, visit, live, whatever.

Cruising the streets in SEA looking for action, drunk, is a good way to wake up in the gutter wondering what the frick happened.

That said, I have a lot of respect for the Vietnamese people.

Yah, A "year of the cat' moment could turn out to be quite the conundrum there.

As do I, they're cool if you're cool. Hell, they're probably still cool even if you treat them bad, but I never did, or I hope I never did anything to offend.

It's easy to avoid the kinds of areas where tomfoolery by pale skins is high, in "Saigon" they're probably mostly in District 1. Going to Bui Vien walking street is kinda fun to get a look at it, but as it gets closer to dark it's best to get out before it gets too packed with drunks. I just can't take that horrible music all those places pump out at max volume until the sun comes up.

But if you want to get a little bit of the feeling that "This City Never Sleeps" that is one place where it's like that and it does have a certain novelty. For me it wears off fast...real fast. There's only 1 rock club in that whole stretch of clubs(last time I visited), its overrun with Eurotrash electronic dance music hell and bad beer. The whole city is bad beer, to me. Tiger Beer, you LSU fans would love seeing those Tiger Beer signs everywhere, it's non-stop. Blocks full of bars and every bar is covered in identical Tiger Beer signs. Just imagine how silly it would look to have 15 Chick-Fil-A's on one block, they have slightly different menus, architecture and layouts, but identical front signage. It's hilarious.

It is a cool looking logo though, it makes me miss Ho Chi Minh City and Tiger Platinum isn't bad, especially with the temp/humidity situation being so high, you have to stay hydrated and the weather in Vietnam is practically demanding you have a beer. Hands down, safest big city I've ever been in. There are 20 million people there. It's unbelievable.

What did you want to see pics of? Musicians, Jugglers, ping pong players?

I cringe when I see this. Only loud middle-aged white men use this term like that.

The thought of all those 97 lb. dragon ladies makes me shudder. You have no idea how cold and black those eyes can get, it's like looking at the devil himself.

I'm not going to lie. If I was a single man, I don't think I could bang a 19 yr old, even a Vietnamese hooker. I have kids older than that
