Current Huntsville AL City Councilman arrested for shoplifting.

SIAP this has been brewing for few days.
Current Huntsville AL City Councilman, and former Council President arrested for shoplifting. He was originally popped once and arrested :constanzawasthatwrong: . Then arrested for 4 more this morning. Now he is accused of at least 31 counts of theft.
He was "skip scanning" at Walmart self checkout and had been under investigation by Walmart Loss Prevention for a while. He is also a professor, community leader and mentor for reducing crime.

Walmart used his credit card to both identify him and then used it to search their video history for any time his credit card was used and view his time at the register when it was used to watch him skip scan items. That’s highly impressive that their software saves footage by credit card transaction so they had an entire profile on him and his skip scanning just by having that credit card number and identifying him as a shoplifting risk. Walmart ain’t fricking around

Is anyone else just proud as hell that Walmart has a loss prevention team and has the balls to use it on a black man, in black history month no less?

the district in north HSV around A&M/the high school formerly known as Johnson HS/ etc...
I guess he is our low rent version of Maxine Waters/Sheila Jackson Lee/James Clyburn/Hank Johnson.
That area was going downhill 30 years ago as the older NASA folks who inhabited it when it grew in the 1960's died off/moved away. It is a shithole now. Not that it was great 30 years ago.
You would be surprised at the Bob Wallace/Drake Ave. area west of the Parkway out to Jordan Ln. now too.
It has become Little Mexico, and what hasn't is ghetto AF.
Both areas were fairly nice middle class neighborhoods back in the 70's-early 90's.
For that matter, if you haven't been in the HSV/Madison area in 30 years, you wouldn't recognize it now.
The growth and traffic is ridiculous, and now they are throwing up apartment complexes anywhere they can find a few acres.
