You also don't see it in the same light as the black youth we are talking about. If you don't think that the lyrics and lifestyle glorifies and prompts the outlook and actions of a lot of these kids, you are completely disconnected from reality. There are other factors, but this shouldn't be dismissed.

i enjoy some youngboy, future, gunna, etc. at the gym/running myself but i have to disagree with you here.

dj ackademics, probably the leading "voice" for the "community," said it well. NBA Youngboy is like the Joe Rogan for young black hood kids. They idolize him and don't have any of the ironic detachment you and i have.

Yeah, I guess I could see that.

I’m not sure, biologically speaking, how any man can watch their child come into this world and not feel a deeper level of love/emotion than ever experienced, but alas, we are here.

This. On new year's day this year a man shot his one year old son seven times. This happened at around 2pm on Eleysian and Broad (I'm pretty sure).

Broad daylight, busy intersection, shot his son 7 times.

I'm an actual leftist, I believe strongly in socioeconomics underlying many of society's ills, but New Orleans is something else. Genetically, it makes no sense to kill your own child. Genetically, we are programmed to protect them.

And this guy shot his kid with no cares at all. There's no socioeconomic reason for that. There's just a culture within a segment of New Orleans that simply does not value life, whether it's their own life, their own child's life, or the life of others.

This is extremely disturbing.

I'm honestly not sure I even want to know this kind of stuff. I know things are bad in New Orleans, but holy shite.

William's D.A. campaign included a pledge not to arrest / jail any juvenile regardless of the crime / s he/she/it/they/them committed. Hid Federal trial, along with his #1 assistant, should be coming up soon.

So when do you come to the conclusion perhaps I should question my leftist beliefs as they have controlled New Orleans policy since the early 1970s (Moon Landrieu)?

Unfortunately you likely won’t, which is why liberalism/leftism is more mental disease than a legitimate governing philosophy.

Liberals Vilify the cops and cradle the criminals and then wonder how things go so bad!

Guess what folks- it’s not the conservatives who are car jacking and stealing your stuff.

You probably mean Gentilly and Elysian Fields.

Broad doesn't cross Elysian Fields.

And if by "Eleysian" you didn't mean Elysian Fields, I'm not sure WTF...

It makes me wonder why everyone else is expected to value their lives, when they don't.

Good to see another white leftist as we are the only ones who can help those people (blacks). Trumpty Dumpties on here don’t realize blacks were in slavery for almost 1,000 years in USA before being freed. Our policies are going to take more than a few decades to fix them. We just have to keep on keeping on and it will work itself out.

He also promoted all of this, which is as big of a problem as the fatherless rate.

I hate people, esp anonymous people, who cannot see the duality of man. That people can promote or practice good or bad messages/actions.
I think it was Lincoln who said People who have no vices, have very few virtues.
