This story is from 22 November of 2023. They might be married with two kids by now.

I agree. Without seeing the letter or any proof of previous sexual acts while she was a minor, there’s no crime here.

WTF is up with all the school perverts in Mobile area?
They're repressed because of "traditional" Mardi Gras.

Looks like he just didn’t want to be a priest anymore. He and the 18 year old girl fell in love and they got married.

Did he groom her from a young age? No evidence of that.

I hope they have a long happy marriage

Catholicism is a false religion. They use idolatry in their teachings when they worship Mary. Absolute blasphemy against the Ten Commandments which they supposedly go by. Any true Christian knows that there’s only one true God to worship.

Did your religious affiliation also mention about the hole, we fall straight to hell, at the end of the isle?

Ehhh...if I'm not mistaken the Baptist Church and their belief system pre-dates the reformation that began Protestant Christianity. You had Orthodox, Catholicism, and Baptist. The key difference from Catholicism to the Baptist believers being the literal interpretation of Jesus' teachings and message that through Him is the only way to interface with the Father, and that confession of one's sin was intimate and personal between the believer and the Father. Also that baptism is a step in faith and a showing of repentance of one's sinful self and renewal and a call out to receive the Holy Spirit. While many Protestant churches do have similar beliefs and that is obviously why a lot of times Baptist are covered under the non-Catholic blanket as being called Protestants, they were never a part of the Catholic faith nor a part of the reformation.

The Baptist church came about in the 17th Century...

Went there for a semester after Hurricane Katrina, looking back I really appreciate how open and helpful yall were to me and my family. No questions asked other than what do you need and where can we bring it. Baseball guys were good dudes, loved working out first period of the day (or was it before school), and the bay houses on Friday nights after games didn't suck either!
