I heard about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
And then one day he was out shootin at some food,
And up through the ground come a bubblin crude.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.
He wound up selling his land to ExxonMobil and moving to Beverly Hills. Lucky b@stard.

Frack Sand is a special sand that doesn’t compress as much as normal sand so a company doesn’t need as much to produce the same amount of oil as before in a fracking well.
A frack sand plant is being installed in Texas (I designed the 25kv power distribution) and it’ll pay for itself in 5 years and make $200mil per year for the next 20+ years afterwards.

There are some people around here that live in the mountains who got rich from selling hand painted wallpaper. They're in a really remote part of Arkansas but sell to clients all over the world.

Kinda sorta similar to my late Aunt. Her husband slipped on a lettuce leaf in the 1st grocery store in Anchorage Alaska, injured his back. They bought beachfront property on Kona HI with the payoff from that.
She also made a killing selling most of her homestead in Anchorage to the city too (sold with provision she got to name streets as they went in so there's one named for me).
Also know a guy in Tulsa makes a fortune on bioengineered bacteria that eat up waste and then die off within 30 days. Sells to golf courses for keeping ponds clear, also sells to bakeries to eat up their grease, and to law enforcement to clean up meth labs and stuff.

I'm surprised no one has tried to pass off the plot line from Hell or High Water

A girl I know ordered a bunch of fake eyelashes and resold them on the internet. Started a website and now it is her job, her husband's job, and they hire a few people to run it so they don't have to do back shite.

A friend from school mother passed away. Had the funeral and was pissed how much it cost for a casket. Researched and found a manufacturer who would sell directly to him. Also determined the funeral association in GA basically had a monopoly on the business. Hired and attorney and got a federal lawsuit lined up. Opened a retail casket company here in Atlanta. A few months later the funeral association sued him in state court where he counter sued in federal. Needless to say they paid him about $10mm to go away.
Has a kick arse Halloween party every year with a few caskets he converted to coolers.

Post Malone had his manager upload ‘White Iverson’ on SoundCloud and went to sleep.
When he woke up it had been reposted by some famous musicians and he became an instant millionaire.
Dude has some serious Beck talent going on, as he writes and produces everything that he releases.
Pretty impressive considering that he looks like he sleeps under a bridge.

Never heard of the dude before his plane fiasco this week.
One YouTube video has 600 million views, another 800 million views.
His music sounds like any other auto tuned hip hop and his videos look like some white dweeb impersonating or mocking black hip hop stars.
Good for him for finding his niche.
Dude is balling now.

Agreed that the dude is balling. I disagree about him being just like any other auto tuned hip hop.
He sings some crazy shite (ballads; acoustic). He covers Metallica on guitar and sings, et al.
He’s a like a young Beck. You can’t place his music into one single genre and that’s why he’s so rich now. And only 23.

Heard about a retired teacher that decided to live stream getting DP'd by her husband and a sex doll. She got paid in tokens from guys that would watch.

I work on an offshore rig. A guy on the rig with me won the Powerball. 191 million. And he was willing to stay and finish his hitch. Needless to say, he doesn’t work offshore anymore.

This guy was basically given an environmental company that was going under and the week after he owned it they got a multimillion dollar oil spill job.

While I don't know them personally, some of the You Tube kid channels make a small fortune. My girls like Fizzy Fun Toys. All they do is play with toys, That's it. I looked them up, $6,000,000 a year from YouTube.
