Covid Survivors: What long term effects have you had after recovery?

Coworker of mine’s husband had it back in late May and had flu-like symptoms for about 3 days. Took the rest of a week for him to get back to what he thought was full strength.
But now it’s August and he still can’t exercise without feeling like he’ll faint and he can’t catch his breath if his heart rate gets up. She also told me that he has random moments every other day or so where his heart races and takes about five minutes for it to calm down.
He’s 40, white, and in good shape FWIW.

Can we really call anything a long term effect at this point. It's only been a matter of months.

What does this mean, because I've seen lots of people use this phrase for people who are 50lbs overweight and eat like shite.

He should get that checked out by a cardiologist. Viruses can cause heart arrhythmia issues, not just COVID-19.

I’ve developed ulcerative colitis right after. 42 yo male with zero health issues. Might be related. Might be coincidence.

Nah he’s legit in decent shape. He’s not a fitness guru or anything but how many Americans are? Seems silly to cast off testimonials because they aren’t the equivalent of professional athletes.
He’s a typical dad who has a running group and is thin.

I had diarrhea for like a week and half straight. Do you think I had the Rona?

My 59 year old brother got it, shat it out, and has no long term effects.

Ok, there is a big difference between professional athletes and what I described.

Obviously not the case.

Problem is for a lot of the testimonials they aren’t thin or in running groups. They’re supposedly “completely healthy” and then you see they’re 25+lbs overweight.
FWIW it took me a solid 6 weeks to get back to my prior level of running/lifting fitness after flu B back in January and it wasn’t hot as hell. I was fully functional but my energy levels for real exertion just really lagged.

What we consider "completely healthy" especially in the south is ridiculous.

Coworker of mine had it, along with his wife and teenage daughter. He’s 40-50 range and said it wasn’t as bad as his worst cold, though he was very tired. They all recovered within 10 days, and are all fine. They took vitamin D3 and some other over the counter immune boosters their doc recommended, Elderberry and Pepsid. He does work out daily, and his wife and daughter are also pretty active.

Dang. My step dad had it, he's 70, and he still ran 4 miles a day and stuck to his weight lifting schedule while sick.
He is in good shape but eats like shite.
