I was on my roof yesterday in the heat doing some repair to the chimney/roof flashing. It's called Louisiana and August

In the late 70's I passed several experienced marathoners who collapsed before finish line of a 5 mile race during a heat inversion. They were not from Louisiana.

Yesterday while doing some flashing repair at the chimney on my roof, I noticed that it was fricking HOT

Zero. I had it in mid-March. A few days of body aches, loss of taste and smell for a week or so and voila, it was gone. Been normal since.

I had 4 days of bad cold like symptoms, with 1-2 days in the middle of that I had slight chest tightness and difficulty breathing.

Also I had wrap-around 10 days of weird bowels. Not exactly loose, but I needed to shite small amounts often, and it kinda burned.

When I would fart, It felt like and I expected it to be a burning hot magma with noxious fumes. It just had that feeling.

But nope, odorless and dry, thank God. Still, it felt great to get that gas out of my arse. I actually imagined the cells of my body Forcibly kicking out the dead covid virus bodies out of my arse with each fart! ??

I felt weak and listless and also experienced the loss of smell and taste. That came back pretty quickly for me, but slowly.

At first, I couldn’t taste anything. Bacon tasted like cardboard. The next day, it tasted like pasty rancid peanut butter. Even coffee tasted like rancid peanut butter. Fortunately, that only lasted a few days.

I got back to normal and every thing seemed okay except that I got tired a little more easily. This lasted 2 weeks until I felt good enough to do my full outside yard chores in the Louisiana summer heat, which even under the best of circumstances wipes me out. I did it and felt normal.

However, now I’m 3 weeks removed from “full recovery” and I’m getting some symptoms again! Stuffy nose, exhaustion, funny bowels, etc. They say I’m “viral shedding”, whatever that is, and that I’m not contagious. But it sucks to be sickly again. Nothing serious, I just don’t feel great. I need a nap.

and in good shape FWIW.

This is subjective

If he did not die from being out of shape (which it sounds like he is not out of shape), age makes it just take longer.

You body just heals slower as you age, that is life.

One of our nurses had to take a second leave due to lingering severe fatigue and shortness of breath. She’s since returned but it’s still a major issue for her. This thing can wreck your lungs.

Fatigued. It’s a lot like Mono and that last about 3-4 weeks.

I had it in early July. I get tired very quickly when jogging or going upstairs. I blame it on Covid but I'm just out of shape
