My pop lost weight. No other issues.

My mom feels fine.

Both are in their 70’s.

40 y/o; 340lbs and 6 and 1/2 ft tall. Eat like shite, don’t exercise like I should, drink way more than I should. Had it a month ago. Last 72 hours and I don’t have any “long term” effects. Back to doing yard work and waking 2 miles 3 days a week. I have had worse head colds during duck season that what Covid felt like. I stand by the fact that it effects different people different ways. It’s all about how your body fights off virus related sickness. Cheers!

I turned forty on 7/12 and had my first symptoms that day. I ended up in the emergency room and admitted into the hospital where I stayed for a 15 day stint. The Covid got in my lungs and I have asthma. I thankfully stayed out of ICU but was on a Bi-Pap at night and a VapoTherm during the day for added oxygen.

Tomorrow makes two weeks since my release and every day is a little better. If I look at where I was two weeks ago, I am leaps and bounds ahead of that point. I still run out of breath after any walking/exercising. They told me it would take 2-4 weeks to be back to normal.

Brain fog, it’s like you can’t remember or do shite every few hours for a few minutes etc. I thought it was just old age until I heard other people talking about it

My illness lasted about five days. It felt like the flu.

I felt normal by day seven and there were no long term effects.

Also, survivors

It wasn’t the Bataan Death March, or the retreat from Moscow.

I had it back in Feb just before everything exploded. The overall length of the real illness wasn't terrible, but the worst 2-3 days were super bad. I've never experienced shivering like that. It was almost like a siezure. I just shook and shook and couldn't stop no matter what. That was crazy. The exhaustion was pretty bad, as well. Just zero energy at all. Complete and total physical and mental weariness. It all ran its course within a week except for a cough that probably stuck around for a month. As for lingering effects, I'm now 6 months on from it, but I still get a bit of weariness/exhaustion that seems to come on suddenly from time to time. I'm not able to be quite as physically active as before, but it's not too bad.

ETA: Like TutHillTiger above me a couple of posts, the brain fog thing happens a bit, as well. I have times where I just don't feel sharp like I'm sort of dog-paddling to get my thoughts together.

My sister had it and she's told me that after battling fever and respiratory issues, she's gotten over those but still has lingering loss of taste and smell.

Not sure I have any long term effects other than the continued annoyance in hearing people talk about it being a hoax or nothing more than a common cold.

Energy drinks and other things with HFCS would allow CV to do more damage. Bring back cane sugar
