Hasn’t Lafayette and North LA been spiking lately as NO and BR drop? Obviously NO and BR have more people though

If you think there is a level they won't stoop to, to maintain that power and control, think again.
I still am amazed, but not surprised, they are checking the literal shite tanks at LSU for Covid. We are indeed living in a clown world.

There was one day last spring that had a negative death. It livened up the daily reporting thread for a little bit.

That’s not correct per the Advocate

quote:

COVID is worse than ever. But Louisiana isn't shutting down like it did before. Here's why

quote:

Inside Louisiana’s hospitals, the battle against COVID-19 is as dire as ever. Patients in the state’s COVID wards, mostly unvaccinated, are dying in droves. People suffering from strokes and heart attacks can’t find open beds. And the military is sending in reinforcements to back-up weary doctors and nurses.

quote:

“We should be in lockdown right now,” said Susan Hassig, a Tulane University epidemiologist.

“We have thousands of cases being detected everyday. We have hospitalizations that have overcome our capacity. When this happened in March 2020, we shut down. When it happened in the summer, we backed up. We haven’t done anything in terms of reducing capacity and density indoors,” Hassig said.

Yes, but NOLA and BR saw increased numbers 1-2 weeks before Lafayette, SWLA, and NLA. It stands to reason these areas will see a similar decrease in the near future.

NOLA.com posted an article this morning about hospitals demanding more mandates and restrictions on citizens to help stop the spread

The media and government has been about 3 weeks behind the actual data this whole time.

If this were some newb account I would be confused as to whether this statement was completely moronic or utterly brilliant.

Considering your posting history, I'm going with the latter.

Stat conclusion points of view…ex:

Fact: Everyone in hospital died yesterday

Interpretation: Great news, hospitalization significantly declined today!

Oh the biases

Your wording and messaging could use some help.

For example, "Covid hospitalizations are REVERSE SOARING! BR SEES LARGE UN-SURGE!"

Yay. We get to be normal for about 4 months, then the good people of this State will be in the same spot with another variant. We will still take shite from Tractor Supply as our first line of defense. Thank God Mississippi keeps us from being the dumbest state in the union.
