Covid-19 spread in meat plants

Maybe they're not.

Maybe their employees don't do so well with regard to their social behavior after they leave work?

It’s not because they are waiting in line for two hours to get into Walmart

This guy knows what’s up. Many of the meatpacking employees live in high density housing (often provided by the processor), and are very likely spreading it off site and blaming it on the plant.

I would guess part of it is a lot of the floor workers are immigrants here alone living with 10+ other immigrants in a tiny rodent infested apartment. One gets it somewhere and spreads it to everyone else he lives with. Their “community” is usually pretty tight so rapid spread away from work is likely.

Lots of immigrants, packed housing...surprised this hasn happened in the fish processing plants.

Last week I saw a posting on the web about Nebraska, the post said in part:
"The largest hotspot in Nebraska traced to a pork processor. Something like 300 workers positive vs the county total of 900 positive. All traced back to a quincenara party involving 200 people after the guidelines were announced."
That piqued my curiosity and on researching Nebraska Covid cases and packing plant locations -- WALLAH! Every fricking county with more than a very few cases (including those out in the sticks) has got a packing plant or two or is adjacent to such a plant. The one referenced in the above quote has to be Hall County, the Grand Island area where there are multiple processors.

Many of the employees are third world immigrants (legal or otherwise) and retain their third world ways. Groups of eight, twelve to twenty people living together unlawfully in a two or three bedroom residency are not uncommon. They often rent rural houses that become shared tenements.
These people retain their third world ways of living and sanitation and have no intention of adopting our language or ways of living. These third world peoples colonize and do not assimilate into our society . They seek to obtain and enjoy all of the benefits of our society while rejecting the principals that have made it what it is today.
