This. I'm far from anti-trans-people. I'm hugely against allowing a child to make major life-changing decisions like this. If your daughter feels like a boy, let her wear a cap and some jeans. Don't put her on fricking hormone blockers.

If an 11 year old is allowed to make an adult decision to take hormone blockers and change genders, how long will it be before the pedophiles start arguing that they are adult enough to consent to sex? I know this has been takes about before during the gay marriage debates, and i hought it was ridiculous to think it might go that far. These types of cases make me realize we are not too far from that being the case.

When I was 11 years old, I watched a lot of professional wrestling. My favorite wrestler was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I looked up to him and thought his "Brahma Bull" tattoo on his arm was so cool. I wanted to get the same tattoo on me so badly. Flash forward to when I turned into an adult and I haven't watched wrestling since.
I would be fricking livid if my parents allowed me to make a permanent life-changing decision at 11 years old.

I feel terrible for the Dad. He's actually looking out for the well-being of his child and there's a court order requiring he use male pronouns and names to refer to her. A fricking court order telling him what he should call his little girl.
The human body is changing in so many ways at that age, it's confusing for even the most well-adjusted kids. If the statistics are accurate that 9 out of 10 gender dysmorphic kids grow out of it, then allowing hormone therapy to permanently alter the body at 11 years old is straight-up abuse.

The reason they want to get them young is that if they can brainwash them as such a tender age and get them to make these harmful life-altering decisions, they'll have them for life (however short)

One would understand a reasonable man kidnapping his own child and fleeing the country in this case. That's pretty fricked up, when the only reasonable response to this is a seriously illegal action.

Maybe if the media portrayed this as something that is not acceptable, less and less people will believe that it is, in fact, NOT acceptable.

Hell, I'd understand him shooting whatever activists are brainwashing her, the judge, and the enabling mother in the face.

I grew up with a girl that wanted to be a boy. She dated boys in highschool but became a lesbian after she graduated. I guess she figured out that wasn't the life she really wanted to live because she had a son and is now married to a man. If she had been treated like a boy in today's society she would have never had the chance to figure out what she really wanted.
