Some people are really trying to defend, rationalize, or excuse what this couple did? WTH?

Why is this on the news? Whatever. I'm getting snozzberry sauce at work for Super Troopers 2. Can I get that on the news?

No, I don’t think anyone is excusing dining and dashing.

I’m just surprised a 100$ dine and dash made the nightly news.

And if they have any sense, now that they’ve been exposed, i’d Hightail it back to walk-ons and explain that you’d both had a bit to drink and thought the other had paid and in the confusion it was missed, then offer to pay the full amount plus a hefty tip.

Better than a fine or jail time and a record.

Nevermind. It’s the OT

95% of them are just trolling.

Yes many are. Not here though.

Seems odd to me. In all of my experiences with d&d, one person will go out and get the car, and then, when the server goes to the back, the other(s) will get up, quickly hop in the waiting car, and leave. Standing outside smoking just gives the server time to realize that the entire table is missing and come looking.

That is to whom I responded.
Nothing odd about it. The trash dined and dashed.

Yes many are trolling. But there are some who have doubts because they were actually smoking before they dashed.

I've heard this before, but it doesn't seem like it can be true. She gets fricked out of her tip, but how can she be held responsible for customers sneaking out? If a paying customer bitches about an entree or side being nasty and the manager comps them, does it come out of the cooks check?

In Texas the establishment owner could have shot and killed them as they walked off. I'm not even kidding.

Hell, you might be able to make a case for a bystander who would have shot and killed them.

After say age 17ish..a drunken "chew and screw/bite and bolt" is distasteful...even if leaving a large tip. Shame on these two criminals!

Three things are perfectly clear. What they did was:
1) Intentional
2) Courageous
3) Cool

There'd better be a follow up story when the perps are apprehended.

I need closure now

PS- I hope they get away with it because of the shitty survalance camera's. Seriously...this is the best quality. I have seen better quality on XNXX dot com.

It would be interesting...

quote:

A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:

(1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41 ; ?and

(2) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:

(A) to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime; ?or

(B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; ?and

(3) he reasonably believes that:

(A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; ?or

(B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

You could shoot them at night if they were walking out with a cup and refused to stop. Walking out without paying isn't far removed.
