Why release to public in promotion of new album if it’s a personal song written for a family member? And publicize its release.
Actually sounds more like the video (not the original take of song) was made for cousin which definitely pushes into both pandering and marketing of pandering. Videos are about marketing in the first place on top of the extra promotion being done, so this isn’t truly a personal song for a cousin.
The cousin story just seems a little like a last minute made up story trying to lessen some criticism from fans. Regardless, Can he write and sing a song about something he doesn’t know about? Or is he letting song get redefined in video? Either way when he sings it now he is singing about gay love of his cousin.

Yes. Subject portrayed in video does go against natural order and sexual reproduction in evolution of humans. Gay scenes me think a Deliverance squeal like a pig scene or a prison rape is about to occur or one is taking advantage of the other somehow like when a show or movie takes a child predator scene too far like Broadchurch (when I have seen that bald actor in other stuff the first thing I think is he is the guilty one behind whatever is going on).
One can live and let live while still not getting it and thinking it’s not normal. Besides we know in today’s climate the sequel will have one of the gay coal miners identifying as trans, and once that penis is cut off, fauxgina dug out, breasts implanted, and full female stereotypes acted out the other one is going to have to decide just how “gay” he is.

The song itself was written back in 2016 and isn’t about his cousin. The cousin bit is in regard to the video itself.
