yeah that isn't tyler childers.
I was going to say, the man’s from Paintsville, Kentucky. Met his wife when he was working a farm in Estill County and when they were first married lived in a trailer on his parent’s property, then lived on a homestead until he started bringing more money in.
Far from a “suburban rich kid”. He actually lived what he writes and sings.

So you don't think it's a big deal to lose the fans that made you popular?
Those fans didn’t make him popular.
The fans of Isbell, Sturgill and drive by truckers made him popular.
The fans that still listen to John Prine and Emmylou Harris made him popular.
The people you’re referring to just drive the ticket prices up on the secondary market and talk over the show when they get there because they only know two songs.
Childers is selling out the same venues as Isbell and I promise you neither one of them are concerned about a few less rednecks and frat boys at their show.

tempratt do you think about pedophilia a lot or just bring it up on the OT?

If you’re legitimately a fan of Childers then you understand why he’s not playing them anymore. And he has a large enough collection of songs that he’s not hurting by not playing them. His Bonnaroo set was fantastic (and featured the song in the OP).
I’d rather he be sober and around to make more music.

I recently heard that Tyler doesn't play White House road or Feathered Indians live anymore because he doesn't want to play his outlaw stuff. That's stupid, imo, because those are the songs that got him fans.
It is not unusual for bands/singers to push their older and often defining music off their live set lists. This is particularly true with groups that continue to put out new music with a significantly different feel. It is a difficult balance to keep fans happy and promote the new music. It is a conundrum brought on from being more than a 1 hit/1 album wonder.

tyler has probably played white house road literally 3000 times live. im sure he's tired of it and wants to play newer songs. he's not a jukebox.

I mean has anyone actually gone to a tyler childers show? there is a contingent of fishing shirt bros that are the most self unaware people that are extremely annoying and belligerently drunk and are always trying to start fights.
Name the time. I'll be the one in PFG gear.

How is this Tyler Childers song a love song when it doesn't even mention how her feet look on the dash of his pickup truck???
Posted on 7/29/23 at 12:32 pm to monsterballads
Headed down a red dirt road to do a little night time fishing from the seat of his tractor

twitter/x is ABLAZE with comments from the aldean crowd. snowflaking about how they'll NEVER support tyler childers again.
tbh I don't think they'll be missed at the concerts.
