Could you swim across the Mississippi River?

credit the woman swimmer thread for the basis of this one...


I'm confident I could make it. IMO, the key is not to fight the currents but flow with them until they weaken and then continue progressing across.

Who's on my level?

You'll need to set some rules. For example swimming the river in LA vs. MN is a big difference. To answer you question (in Louisiana) - HELL NO

Why are yall saying no? Would the current pull you under? I mean, if not I think I could swim it. I may be 10 miles downstream when I get across, but I'd get across.

when i was 19 i did it in BR with 2 pals. ended up pretty far downstream
