No but hafthor outweighed him by over 200 pounds and was way stronger. Isn’t that y’all’s reasoning behind being able to beat up the mma female fighter?

Lol dude they were light sparring stand up with no grappling. In an actual fight Thor would rag doll Conor like a child.

it’s not weird. When both are trained, size and a males natural superior bone structure comes into play making them almost impossible for a woman to defeat in hand to hand combat, also the way the male brain works, males tend to have quicker decision making abilities. But a woman trained to fight, who’s reached the level of a professional mma fighter would absolutely smoke some guy on the streets in his Columbia shirt, khakis and hey dudes

Yes. Ive gotten kicked and stomped with metal cleats on, punched, and tackled by grown arse men 300+ lbs. A woman at 135lb simply cannot exert anywhere near that amount of force regardless of training.

Someone posted a vid of her sparring with some kid dude at her gym and he was toying with her.

LINK

If this is what you were referring to RR was "new" to striking. She was a judo pro and got into striking late. It's obvious by the video she still had no idea what she was doing. Going up against good strikers was what did her in. If you are talking about the other video of her actually rolling with a kid who was maybe 10, I'd assume you knew they were playing around.

She always knew striking and used it to get in to clinch. She sucked at it though, once she went against improved fighters who were good at striking that was it. I assume OP is talking about true MMA pros, who are elite in striking and grappling or wrestling.

I always drop this one in these threads FWIW. I had the chance, back in my LSU days, to put on pads and go four rounds with a girl who fought in the Pan Am games and tried out for the Olympics. Her deal was Judo and TaeKwanDo (spelling?).

I had one semester of Karate at the Urec and a couple of high school fist fights under my belt.

She was way, way, way better trained than me but I had 60 or 70 pounds on her and was considerably taller (reach advantage).

I quickly found out that if I kept distance and let her close she would come in and kick or punch the shite out of me and then slip away. I was really worried about her getting hold of me with the Judo stuff. Eventually I went for broke and rushed her, absorbed half a punch on the way in, and then latched on. I dominated her every time I did this. There was just no way for her to overcome my weight and strength. So, using that real world example, could I beat a trained female UFC fighter who I have 100 pounds on? If I can get close enough to grab her then yes. It also would be super important where this took place. In an Octagon, maybe not but in a bar or a living room where she couldn't dance around? Big advantage to the heavier person.

Would a percentage of people on this board lose to submission in this scenario? Probably. Is it anywhere close to 99%? Hell naw.

Assuming 70lb advantage and strength of a normal male adult that had *some* experience throwing hands? It would be a blood bath for the MMA fighter. Would she catch a few of the softer baws here. Absolutely.

People vastly underestimate how much a size/strength difference like that would make....especially against a female. She would be a rag doll.

You don’t have to hit her. You can grab her and squeeze the life out of her

Even with form and technique, you have to have enough strength for a hold to matter. There is a point when someone is bigger and stronger than you, your chokes and submissions won’t mean anything

The strength a man has over a woman is immense even when they are the same size. When you talk about a woman 70 lbs lighter than you, it’s insurmountabl

that is great and all, but the majority of the OT is out of breath reading 2 paragraphs.

yeah no shite, a female sparring with another male fighter is going to get beat most of the time, even one that isn’t a professional. But just because a high school boys basketball team could beat some professional women’s teams doesn’t mean a professional women’s basketball team would get by 5 intramural dudes who never played organized basketball in their life

I get your point, but hand to hand combat is different. Unless you're a big tub of goo with no reflexes, or a frail pencil necked dork, the strength difference is too much to overcome.

If you think 130lb females can easily kill 200lb men with their hands as long as they are trained, you should have no problem with them being in active duty with training. I mean they even get a gun there

Don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings but Taekwondo is irrelevant with fighting. Judo can be legit, but most UFC female fighters are trained in a mixture of MAs. Judo, BJJ, boxing, kickboxing. They are going to be much better trained than the judo girl who does competition judo for sport.

Even with all I said in past post, I'm sure no doubt there are some regular Joes that could win a fight against a pro mma female, but overall, I think most would lose. You take that judo girl and give her 5-6 years of striking experience, judo experience in a UFC type fight, and BJJ I think it would be a little different, or maybe it wouldn't be, but if I"m betting, I'm betting on the female against the average Joe in this situation. I'd bet $5.

I literally explained my point in the post you quoted from but I guess you decided not to read it, so I’m done trying to explain it to you. I never said women are men’s physical equal. I’m just saying being a professional trained fighter is a lot bigger deal than you realize

You can go to many of the BJJ gyms in the area and grapple with some of the female athletes to get a better idea how you would fare. I think some of you would wake up surprised.

Many years ago I rolled with a few folks at a BJJ place. Yes...under normal restraint they made me look silly. That said, it wasn't with a woman that was 60-80lb smaller than me and it wasn't in a "fight".

I knew I could take him down, but I just didn't want to break him," Bjornsson said. "He felt really light. I had him a few times, but I just didn't want to break him."

Go watch it again. Their 'spar' was the equivalent of grab assing in the locker room in middle school. The most Thor tried to do was lock Conor up in the clench, zero takedown attempts.

This is a shite analogy my guy. No 135 lb woman is taking out a reasonably in shape dude over 200.

Alright that’s just put a name on this

Dylan crews. 6’0” 205 lbs. So same size as OP. obviously he is far more athletic than the average male, but isn’t trained nor does he play a contact sport

I guess y’all think Dylan crews is going to get smoked by a 135lb mma female?
