That doesn’t happen.

Yeah, very tough to be bored up there. Too much to do and see.

I don't see how it's possible to get bored in the mountains

The grub scene is legit in the roaring fork river valley too. No brainer. Live a little and go.

Been construction on that road and during ski season it can be a 4-5 hour drive.

Not sure if the construction was finished but it can be a nightmare.

i read that even in Glenwood Springs it’s pretty pricy and that’s already an hour away.

Jesus Glenwood is pricey now? I dated a girl from there back in college and that place was a shithole. I mean, being surrounded by the mountains was beautiful, but the town itself was awful.

I’d have to rent at first but I’m not sure I want to do more than $1,700 a month (in addition to the CoL) on my salary alone while the SO looks for something.

Plenty of tents in nearby areas of Aspen that you can rent in the area for 1700$. Unless you want a beat down one bedroom with terrible appliances and luke warm water, I’d suggest you look way outside of Aspen and commute. Created Butte, Glenwood Springs and Burma Vista all have much better COL, are good places to live and are a relatively easy drive to Aspen (depending on the weather).

Aspen scores a 1 out of 10 in terms of cost of living. A cost of living score of 1 indicates most expensive while a 10 represents cheapest.

Seems like a backwards way of scaling things

To the OP....GO.

Baton Rouge isn’t going anywhere. I feel like in 30 years I’d regret not giving it a shot.

I went once. Thought the Rockies would be a hell of a lot rockier than they were.

That John Denver was full of shite.

It makes me jealous. I wish I could afford that. My 15 year house mortgage is less. Good for him/her!

You will regret that move, most likely, unless you decide to drastically reduce the standard of living you currently have.

Quality of life makes it worth it. Quality of life > standard of living
