Cost and recovery time for four non impacted wisdom teeth?

Mine were cut and drilled out in 2008. Some people suffer for a week, I felt no pain and had a cheeseburger and fries easily the next day.
It all depends. Probably about two - four weeks for the sockets to fully heal

I think I was only down for that day. I never needed anything stronger than Tylenol for the pain and was eating a normal diet the next day.

Why get them cut out if they are not impacted?

It is a very individual thing. Even if you do everything you're supposed to.

I got mine out one at a time so I could still chew food on one side. It cost about $75, depending if you ask for gas or not, and you get some good pain pills.
ETA: regular dentist did mine. He only had to make a minor incision on one of mine. They all were pulled like any other tooth.

This. Everyone is different from pain to dry socket to time healing. But I would think 1-3 days before you are starting to feel better, probably 3-5 days until eating more like your old self. Do your best to take only asprin or tylenol because those other things they give you are often too strong. Just from my experience.

About $1200...
Took about 5 days for all of the swelling to go down, slight pain but nothing Advil couldn't help with for about a week. Pain fully gone by a week and a half

Two got cracked in a wreck about eight months ago and I'm finally annoyed enough to deal with it.

Had my 4 pulled by my dad's friend who is a dentist. Did it on his lunch break and I didn't even get pain medication post procedure. I walked out of there fine and had no recovery time. Jaw kind of hurt, but it didn't stop me from anything.

Surgery for non-impacted teeth? I was just charged for the anesthesia and a typical tooth extraction. It was around $75 per tooth. I decided to get them done one at a time over the course of a few months so I could still chew on one side.

I took a month off from my desk job when I got one removed in 2009. It still hurts a little, but I tough it out most days.

Ouch! I had a quote from my dentist for $300....thats her doing it with just a deadening shot, no gas or other sedation. Mine is ruptured but wasnt bothering. The Wednesday before Labor day weekend it started killing me but I thought I could tough it out and it would pass.....after 2 sleepless nights my hippie wife (no pics) had me put peppermint essential oil on it.....that voodoo stuff worked great. I haven't had but a couple of twinges since but as soon as I put peppermint on it its gone. She did have me try tea tree oil first but that didnt work....and I real clove oil is the goto for tooth pain.

I had mine taken out and was in a lot of pain. Had ice packs on my cheeks and was taking hydrocodones every time I woke up. They removed the teeth on a Friday and I was feeling better by Tuesday.

Cost - dont quite remember
Recovery - the fact that they arent impacted will means the holes in your mouth most likely wont be as big. (Not considering the size the of your teeth). The first couple days wont be fun, but you could be looking at eating normal food in atleast 2-3 days time.
Then again, im not a dental doctor, so I dont know what im talking about.
