Worked st Champs and Sneakers...never will forget fitting Jimmy Taylor and his wife buying some top shelf Nee Balance running shoes. After I boxed them up and they walked down to the register, all of the dudes working with me were rolling around laughing their asses off . I was like wtf? Apparently the ol’ left nut was hanging out of my short short Adidas tennis shorts while I was straddling the shoe horse. That’s how it went down in 1982...

My kids now look at my high school basketball pics from the late 80's and laugh. Short thigh high shorts were it back in the day.

Worked there in most of the 80s, my most memorable moment was when Larry Ks daughter was shot. I wonder if the bullet hole is still in the wall, I used to go look at it every time I passed it.

Story please?

I do remember a place named Bojangles, or something like where the owner killed either his wife or girlfriend.

What was the name of the seafood restaurant in the mall?

JC Penny had a cafe named Early Bird. I'd eat breakfast there a lot.

Don't remember the exact location, but I don't think it was by an outside entrance. I've gotta get that name before it drives me crazy.

Didn't the Goudchaux's (later MB) in Cortana have a restaurant/cafe on the second floor that used to look out into the mall?

My first job was a "key carrier" in the Service Merchandise warehouse while I was in high school/college circa 1996-1999.

I think so. They also had a little soft serve ice cream stand built into the storefront on the side closest to KB Toys.

Watching Boston College beat Notre Dame outside of Champs in 1993.

Space Port took a good bit of my parents money.

Yes it was Drusilla Seafood. It was right by Service Merchandise. I worked at Cortana in high school in the late 80s.

Kafka, I'm surprised that I have 81 posts in the last 15 years....but I am here daily and was here before 2004. Just don't post much (obviously). There are a bunch like me I would imagine.
