Don't come in here with the scientific witchcraft!

I don't care if science got us the bomb, cars, A-10's, TV's, instant replay, combustion, ICBM's or pocket-pussies! It's wrong about this virus!

That’s one hell of a way to misrepresent data

Right?

For all the people here who are so concerned with twisting numbers and fear-mongering, this is finally an actual example of both

picking a single day in time, and then stating that rate as a new rolling average is retarded

I didn't post the OP and I don't agree with the thread/article title. But you posting "Coronavirus is killing 52 Americans per day in 2020" is misleading at best considering you know that is increasing daily. You are also applying a timeline on 1/1/2020 to 3/31/2020 for some reason. The doctor's originally published graph is called

Nowhere does it say a daily average of coronavirus deaths unless I'm missing something.

This is ludicrously irresponsible reporting.

Well that’s completely idiotic and irresponsible. So I guess the Malaysian plane that crashed a few years ago was the worlds leading killer in the seconds it took to crash.

but .... but ... muh flu!

Per the most recent Weekly U.S. Influenza Service Report:

Pneumonia/Flu Deaths, and I'm not sure why they are broken out between Flu/Pneumonia in the Flu Report or if the the pneumonia deaths were directly related to a positive flu test:

Week Ended February 29, 2020:
Pneumonia Deaths - 2,910
Influenza Deaths - 487

Week Ended March 7, 2020:
Pneumonia Deaths - 2,258
Influenza Deaths - 347

CDC - Weekly Surveillance Report

Deaths obtained from the view chart data link in the mortality section.

Not downplaying the coronavirus, as we are just starting to get into the thick of it in the U.S., with daily deaths on the rise, but just sharing the most recent flu death information per the CDC.

We are discussing the article in the OP. It was falsely saying that covid19 is the 3rd leading cause of death.

Just pointing out the bullshite. No need to defend it. We know this is bad, but not end of the world shite.

Do we shut down the country for heart disease and cancer? I guess we should now.

Ironic that a lot of the OT are:

1. Old and no longer matter
2. "My 600-lb Life" level slobs

Settle down. No need to get triggered, it's a woman doctor that came up with this retarded idea.

She is the one on the left.

Holy cherry picked statistics.

The article says 4k deaths and 700 a day. That’s 5.7 days :lol

I mean cmon people it has only killed more than 700 people in a day the past 2 days
