Right now, if we define hotspots, would we say the following three cities are the hottest?
New York
Seattle
San Francisco
With the following cities emerging?
Los Angeles
Chicago
Boston
New Orleans
Miami
Atlanta

If it goes any lower I'd be worried. Keep monitoring it please. Any lower and call your doctor again and see if it's REALLY time to go to the ER.

So Kentucky has a new case today, someone who went to a "Coronovirus party" gathering.
Idiot.
Idiot.

Even “mild” covid-19 can kick your arse, but chances of dying are super slim. You guys will make it, just hang tough. One moment at a time.

Central & South American numbers are headed in the wrong direction and they are about to have major issues in some of those countries. A significant concern is that if the HC system down there gets overrun then we could see a surge of migrants moving north. Talk about a MSM meltdown waiting to happen but I trust Trump has the fortitude to do what will be necessary.

Memphis has a 185 ventilators for a greater metro area of 1.4 million and of those 32 patients are currently on them per a council member. I guess I just didn't realize how scarce these are before all of this.

We can’t do that until there’s more of it, but there’s enough evidence for it I think to give it to anyone presenting with typical symptoms and from a “hot zone” or in constant contact with the public.
We should be doing that once supply is up

Are they only ramped up testing in hotspots? Any idea?

I have no clue but they are up to 680 deaths reported today.

New Orleans is right there with these.
And probably Chicago

6.7% on vents.
That is not good.

That means 93.3% aren't on vents.
I'm a glass half full kind of guy.

I think we're actually doing pretty OK so far with it. We're more than a week into shelter-in-place, and while cases and deaths are growing, it's relatively slow in Cook County - certainly not the explosive growth you see elsewhere. We have fewer deaths and fewer cases per capita than almost all of our peers, and we had our first case well before most (January 24th).
We have fewer cases and deaths than New Orleans right now, and we're almost 7 times the size. We can definitely handle this.
A Chicago suburban county (DuPage) is about to get slammed - it got into a nursing home out there, and they're already losing people.
Overall, it's probably helped that it's been pretty cold here. Nobody would be out doing shite anyway.

What does Vancouver look like? Sorry, don't have time to look into it.
I remember them having a huge Asian population. Seems like they were more Japanese than Chinese though.

Great, we needed more TDS related bias in this thread. You know, to increase the bickering and finger pointing.
Take it to the poliboard and get decimated over there, grownups are trying to talk. Your affliction and obsession with Trump is not needed in this thread.
