from that article:
this should piss everybody off, honestly.
Time and urgency is a factor and this red tape requires this guy to burn his shite to a CD like it's a high school prom slideshow?
I mean for frick's sake

After emailing his application to the FDA, Greninger discovered that it was incomplete. It turned out that in addition to electronically filing it, he also had to print it out and mail a physical copy along with a copy burned onto a CD or saved to a thumb drive. That package had to be shipped off to FDA headquarters in Maryland. It was a strange and onerous requirement in 2020, but Greninger complied. He had no choice. On February 20, he overnighted the hard copies of his application to the FDA.

Here's helpful timeline:
January
Experts: Hey, this corona virus could be a really big deal, and there's a lot we don't know about it. There are some things we really should be doing.
Conservative media: LOL it's just the flu, nerds
Late March
Conservative media: You can't blame the Trump administration for not taking this seriously enough! Nobody was talking about it back in January!
Experts: WTF?!? Yes we were. See, there's tons of written proof we told you! Look at all these articles from January!
Conservative media: "Proof" eh? Looks like you're just trying to cover your asses. Checkmate, libtard epidemiologists.

Where are the articles from January?
Right here.
And here.
And here's another.
The evidence that the Trump administration should have taken this a lot more seriously just kind of keeps piling up, huh?
Two of those articles are the same thing, same author - just on separate media platforms.
And none of the three offer any substantive precautions that the US should engage in. The only proactive position is a quoted scientist who says that we should quickly attempt to develop a vaccine -which quite literally every post-industrial country, including the US, is doing.
It's like you just googled "coronavirus, January" and copied the first three links.
If you want to be critical about the administration you could argue initial testing was lacking - although there is a huge component with the WHO not allocating the proper amount of test to the US.
And even then, we are exponentially growing testing faster than any other country through the public/private partnership. The State of New York - where outbreak is the most severe - is now testing more per capita than any country other than South Korea. Not to mention, the US is the first country to patent a quick turnaround test.

Since you're making this political, I will.
Perhaps this could have been taken more seriously in January if there wasn't a Witch Hunt of an impeachment trial going on?

that’s about what I figured. pathetic

I can only assume that Truman's "The buck stops here" sign is resting in pieces beside a wood chipper somewhere near Mar a Lago.

Not what I said. Re-read.

The Democrats control the House for which any funding for any initiative for prevention needed to start.
How many bills were authored and put forth in January and February?

I think that's a good target. We need to hunker down and stay home for a couple of weeks and slow the spread, and then, in a couple of weeks, we'll be able to test over 150,000 per day, and we'll be able to go to restaurants again (even if the NBA and MLB are going to have to wait a lot longer than that).

Not telling you not to go hospital but they likely won’t do much unless you are having shortness of breath.
Posted on 3/24/20 at 4:04 pm to LSU1018
Probably right. Wife has labored breathing and I just want a breathing treatment and to be sent home preferably with more HD syrup.
