Apparently that google website isn’t actually being built by Google, it’s being built by another Alphabet entity with help from google engineers.

This is a dumb gotcha.

Also it’s only going to be in the Bay Area at first. Maybe weeks if not months before it’s nation wide

Possibly a legitimate gripe.

The media has no respect because it talks about dumb nitpicks instead of the real issues.

That could be a real problem.

As of 3/13/2020, there are 36 presumptive positive cases of the disease in Louisiana. Presumptive cases remain classified as such until confirmed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. Specific details regarding location of these cases may be found by visiting the Louisiana Office of Public Health webpage.

There was a guy in my office today bitching about his mother's nursing home restricting visitors. He probably posts on TD about "just the flu."

[quote, including the uninsured; two weeks of guaranteed paid sick leave, as well as increased family leave; increased spending on unemployment benefits[/quote]

How much of these are unfunded mandates/burdens on businesses already struggling? Do these have hard sunsset provisions where they 100% end or are easy extensions or vague end dates going to make it the new norm again.

This is just business as usual in DC making people dependent and too much welfare included. If Trump becomes typical hand out supporter like Bush and Obama while not pushing some true reform with some supply side stimulus with some carrots to lesson dependence on China and forcing big tech to diversify it's manufacturing, holding China accountable for covering up issue and not allowing free flow of info (and reforming travel rules when any outbreaks happen in Asia and Africa'that is judge proof from stopping or slowing down) I am done with him as far as showing support or giving support. I don't think I can support sniffer, but I am tiring of Trump. I really thought he would push back and have some balls here.

China is restarting and getting back to business as usual, and we have changed nothing. We are planning for crap to stay bad instead of pushing just as hard for overall economy improvement to reverse this crap and playing into leftists hands for elections. I am mad that Democrat's politicized this and did nothing while pushing sham impeachment, but Trump has let them take lead in this and set the message. He reminds me of Blanco during Katrina right now. He seems weak. He needs to take charge and lead and quit worrying about election.

I can't stand DC or its politicians and judges that go there to die. Let corona virus have it and everyone there.

Can anyone briefly explain what the CDC does to confirm these positive test results? Do they verify the test process or do they review the individual test results?

More positive information regarding temperature and humidity and its effects on CV19....

High Temperature and High Humidity Reduce the Transmission of COVID-19

quote:

One degree Celsius increase in temperature and one percent increase in relative humidity lower R by 0.0383 and 0.0224, respectively. This result is consistent with the fact that the high temperature and high humidity significantly reduce the transmission of influenza. It indicates that the arrival of summer and rainy season in the northern hemisphere can effectively reduce the transmission of the COVID-19

Spain is going to surpass Italy very soon. Is this thing going to show which countries are well run and which ones aren't?
