NBA cancellation was probably in response to no fans, initially. Better to postpone the season than refund tickets and still have to pay players for non-guaranteed funds.

It’s almost like people don’t want this shite to go away. If cases are going down in a country with over a billion people, it’s a good thing for America no matter how much you weirdos try to spin it.
It’s odd. Lots of doomsday wishcasters just like when it might snow in south LA.

Way more than 30 people. Each team has a 12 man roster with other that don't dress, coaches, training staff, officals, and support staff. There will still need to be a good amount of people to run the building etc. Way more than 30 people.
You’re probably looking at about 150 people spread out through a giant arena. Probably less since concessions won’t be needed and limited janitorial service.

Is there a breakdown anywhere on the demographics on the death numbers?

Old people in Italy are getting smoked

Now that they don’t have nba games, they are still going to be around 30 or more people a day. What gives? The players that tested positive were going to be self quarantined with or without the season being cancelled
The season is not canceled, it is postponed. Many teams preferred to finish the season later in the summer. They did not want to play in empty stadiums and forfeit the gates for those games.

It’s actually somewhat remarkable just how targeted this virus is for old people. Could be why politicians care

Because Italy has a shite load of old people. Under 60 has a very low fatality rate.

Their sample size is:
66% female (females do better)
Only 20% over 50 yo (older do worse)
All I'm asking is to call balls and strikes on all the data.
Cases are cases. They report them all. Demographics have nothing to do with that.

those rates for over 60 is scary as hell dude.

It's almost like Italy's "great" healthcare infrastructure was nothing more than a bunch of walk in clinics not suited to provide more than a throat lozenge and a lollipop.
