Was that the fearmonger, Amesh Adalja? He said 50% of the US will get the coronavirus in this initial wave. 50%.

Nah, Martin Markay.

Said you should have 3 months of food saved and this will be gone by June.

Did he explain why we would be so much worse than everywhere else?

Edit: just looked at his tweet. He said “at risk” people should stock up on meds and food for three months. Also said hospitals should expand staff now and restaurants should switch to delivery. So not that alarmist

Yeah some of us have those in our families.

And they aren’t all in nursing homes.

Nah. He was on CNBC an hour ago.

For what it's worth, he's a surgical oncologist, but he also said he was calling SXSW and the NCAA urging them to cancel.

He thinks schools across the country should be closed yesterday.

Apples and oranges, one country is able to completely shut down the country the other can't come close to those extreme measures

There is a measure for that. It's called excess deaths. Will be interesting to see how COVID19 shakes out in that respect.

If you keep 60+ year olds in their homes and away from visitors, you'll never sniff Chinese deaths.

Likely

The 50,000 Americans who die from the flu this year would be alive without the flu

The 60,000 children under the age of 5 that die of RSV this year would be alive without RSV

Just wanted to really make you cry about deaths related to viruses that spread easier through gatherings

I have children under 5. 3 in fact

60,000 children under 5 this year will die from RSV, a virus that spreads more through close contact

I guess you have always thought frick them, right? Your basketball game was more important.....

Y’all need to stop using deaths to make your arguments. It doesn’t hold up to any logic, at all

If all these psycho virtue signalers really cared, theY would have been melting over all the other diseases we spread through travel and social contact. Why are they screaming now? Because they’re easily manipulated.

I'd take a ban bet that less than 10,000 in the US die this year from CV19.

Also, duck this. Let’s go deeper. Every old person ever picks up every baby they know and gives them a big ole kiss, which is the number 1 thing not to do to help the spread of RSV. They can’t even avoid doing that

So the high horse flag waving turds are losers

I can hang with those piling on me while arguing hospitalization rates and such. That’s cool. The death virtue signalers are people I look at as weak and dumb

Don’t compare US flu deaths with worldwide RSV stats. 99% of the RSV deaths of children are in developing countries of you want to continue beyond just a google top search.

Also where does it say 50,000 American flue deaths?

How about just not post bull shite anymore.
