That's pretty damn high.

Has to be really scary right now if you're in that age bracket.

I'm guessing a lot of those folks aren't in great shape.

That said, we all know tons of 70 year olds who are still working and living life and are productive in their companies and communities, etc. so if they're at risk, it's not exactly like this is just harming people who are already on the way out.

We should be post-pearl harbor the entire capacity of the nation into making planes and tanks and ships level focused on corona virus testing/treatment/vaccine right now.

If we have any belief we’re still the most accomplished nation in the world we should kick this things arse

Exactly.

I'm not worried about this for me, but I am worried about people I care about in the at-risk demo, even if they're healthy.

As young people, we can do our part to slow this shite down.

In the not doom and gloom side of things, they just got all the tests back from Jazz personnel. Out of 58 people who had contact with gobert, only Donovan Mitchell tested positive. And both he and gobert were so mild symptomaticslly that they we’re going to play last night

Exactly. The US has 36 deaths. Extrapolated using 0.7% death rate thats about 5000 cases. But we’ve only tested like 1000. 200 people out of 5000 is just 4%.

Ok now use that math for a place like China. They would have had 500,000 infections. We know from genetic tracing of the virus precisely when it started. The R0 would have to be incredibly high to reach those numbers so quickly. We have not seen any indication of R0 levels that high anywhere else, even on cruise ships.

I think that America is long gone. Just look in this thread you have literal fricking retards screeching about why we don’t freak out for the flu every single year. These people don’t give a frick until they are effected directly.

Fabio Wajngarten, the press secretary for Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, has tested positive for coronavirus, two sources tell CNN. He was at dinner with Trump at Mar-a-Lago Saturday night, took a photo with him and later attended Kimberly Guilfoyle’s birthday party.

So half of our testing capacity is in California and 1% from the CDC?

Dear God.

How man ICU beds do you think are in the NOLA area 350? Just a guess but %40 are currently in use. It would not take much to overwhelm the healthcare system.

Trump did not sound great on TV last night. Sounded out of breath.

Maybe just stress from this shite, which I understand, but he has apparently had a lot of contact with infected folks. And he is in the "bad" demographic to be in.
