Grow up. Adults can discuss things without panicking.

Is it mean to say "oh really, I thought it was just the flu" to someone whose loved one gets this and dies, when that someone was saying "its just the flu" leading up to the epidemic?
Need to know where I should draw the line.

Man, I wish I could have that optimism. I have a feeling that the very second that the average American is inconvenienced by this will get "end of the world" hysteria going nationwide.
kind of already happening isn't it? I think Americans will get bored with panic and adjust, but it'll take a few weeks and they'll have to get used to the virus being in pretty much every community.

Maybe. But looking at the Johns Hopkins map, this doesn't seem to be exploding across the interior of the country like I expected. I thought TX would be covered up by now. There appear to be one off travel related cases here and there. The key is whether those cases each lead to several more and so on. So far, the map doesn't seem to be showing that. Is it just a lack of testing or delay in updating the map?
And apart from the Seattle nursing home massacre, it doesn't seem that a lot of people are dying from this.

Most of y’all have been panicking in this thread because we haven’t tested 90% of the population yet.

Fulton County Schools are closed tomorrow because an employee tested positive

They'd probably be at main campus Ochsner which is in Jefferson parish.
If it's Orleans parish, I'd assume it's UMC.
GD MFer!

My wife works for an urgent care along the gulf coast. Her boss came in on Wednesday of last week and said they now have the test available and they can test anybody they want to. Not sure what to think about that ER doc saying that.
He probably heard it from Trump last Friday. Meanwhile the day before Pence we don't have enough.

quote:We haven't been testing. No cases will be confirmed on that map until it is tested for. Nearly 6 weeks into this saga, the entire USA had tested ~450 people up until last week. We started testing a few days ago and look at that, numbers are shooting up.

Sorry guys. Was practicing math and on a call. I’m back. Has this killed everyone yet?
Let's do a basic math test.
Which is more likely to kill you- covid19 or the flu?

Just 15 people with pre-existing conditions in a shitty nursing home but by God that's not gonna stop the OT from having a 400 pg fear mongering thread

This very second? The flu. If I contracted them as a healthy 33 year old, it’s even.

The kicker will be if they can develop a post-illness test fit those that had symptoms but didn't get originally tested. We might get to see the real numbers.
