There is one tested and confirmed case of corona. There are undoubtedly a lot more walking around.

Typically I'd return to work 24+ hours after fever is gone. But times are certainly different right now. Is it irresponsible of me to return to work tomorrow?

I'd take another day or three if it won't impact your work/life too much. Just consider the down the line impacts. Not that you have Covid, but if you have a bad cold and give it to a few people who then clog up their doctors' offices, etc. I think the goal for all of us should be to put as little pressure on our local medical facilities and communities as possible.

Of course, if taking another 2-3 days off isn't possible for your circumstances, then just wipe everything down, avoid contact, practice good hand washing, etc. like the other poster said.

How long till we get a video of people intentionally spreading the virus on camera? That is YouTube-worthy.

If corona is 6 times more deadly, that still doesn’t matter if I’m 100 (that’s very generous) times more likely to get the flu.

Especially this year where LA was one of the worst hit in the country

I’ve got a job interview in Atlanta next week and they’re flying me in for it. I really want this position and I’m excited for it but part of me thinks this corona crap is gonna cancel it.

I woke up Saturday with a bad headache, chills, coughing, malaise, and body aches. Didn't have a thermometer so no recorded fever but I'm sure I did. Sunday body aches persisted through morning but resided yesterday afternoon with Tylenol and haven't returned. Recorded my temp yesterday and no fever.

Had similar experience Sunday. Woke up to headache and chills. Was driving home and by the time I got there that afternoon I felt better and had no fever.

Hand sanitizer is a precious commodity during a coronavirus outbreak. So, as the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 crosses 100 in New York, the state is taking matters into its own hands — or rather, its prisoners' hands.

During a press conference on March 9, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced New York had developed its own line of hand sanitizer. “NYS Clean” is 75 percent alcohol, higher than the Centers of Disease Control's (CDC) recommended 60 percent, and has a "floral bouquet" scent.

Cuomo said the state's prison inmates are producing 100,00 gallons of the sanitizer, which costs $6 per gallon to make, each week at the Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Washington, New York. It's not for sale to the general public, but provided to school districts and municipalities for free.

Well damn. Y'all were right. My conference was just now canceled. But I booked 5 days there for leisure first, so I guess I'm still going and just coming home earlier. Pray for me

Can someone explain to my why trips had to be booked between 3/5 and 3/31 to be changed for free? Shouldn't trips booked prior to 3/5 also be allowed to be changed? If anything, everyone knew better after 3/5 and they deserve to be stuck with the ticket.

I hate Cuomo and his brother Fredo but this is awesome and the proactive type of thinking you need with something like this. He's giving it to the schools who are running out because of moron hoarders.
