She's always been a little out there with believing conspiracy theories be it anti vaxxer views, claiming the gov't rounded up prisoners and shot them during Katrina, and fully embracing Pizzagate.

What's your bet on the Summer Olympics in Japan? It happens end of July to beginning of August. We think this blows over by then or will the Olympics be affected and how?

I'm getting scared
I have a tickle in my throat. I think I'm next.

Last night our daughter came down with a fever (Atlanta area) after we had spent all day playing with friends and family. Of course myself and our toddler finished one of her pieces of pizza that evening. Whatever she has we are getting it.
I fully expect it to be nothing of consequence (or the flu). But if in the extremely slim off chance it was the coronavirus, it would be a long list of people that are potentially exposed. Those are the types of situations where this thing will take off.

By August millions worldwide will have perished. Large funeral pyres will be in round the clock mode to handle the workload

Donezo.
No way they hold the Olympics this year, a worldwide, massive event in an area the COVID-19 is active. Everyone from around the world gathers there and then disperses at the end of it? I can't think of a better way for this virus to spread globally.
You have to cancel the Olympics, and I'm on the side that thinks the COVID-19 will run it's course and not be a plague.

Well that's not true.
They've also said that they'll wait as late as May to make a decision, which is wise.

Does this really matter tho since it’s active everywhere?
Japan seems to have better control over it than the US, France, Germany, Spain, etc

And they can hold them in Sept/Oct if needed. The only stipulation is that they are held in 2020. IOC has agreed.

That's right.
The economics of the situation leads me to believe the Olympics will happen. There is simply too much money tied up in it.

Maybe. But we’re still 5 months out. Impossible to say what things will look like by then.

If I were to get it I would like to get it early, prior to medical resources being overrun. I am in good health so at worst I would just need a little help overcoming it.
