I wonder if there is actual travel from China to North Korea? I would think so but I have no idea.

Things have slowed down considerably in China and that's nearly 20% of the world's population.

You really do believe the CCP don’t you? lol... Why are Wuhan doctors begging for more medical staff right now?

No it’s not true. US groups all pneumonia deaths in with flu deaths so it’s misleading and a propaganda campaign by WHO to get people to get their flu shots (granted I think this is a good idea and way to minimize the flus impact, unfortunately now we have a situation where for some reason people need to discredit another deadly virus by comparison)

So, the 2,700 number is wrong? Seems like someone is buying into the "deadly virus" scare tactic

It's about percentages. If this coronavirus does not go any further, it is no big deal - not many will remember it this time next year (unless you live in China). The problem is that it has spread from China to multiple countries and some do not seem capable of containing it there, and there are others that likely have many cases and don't have the infrastructure to even know they have it.

With the flu 0.2 % or 2000 people in every 1 million that get the flu die. With coronavirus 2.1 % or 21,000 people in every 1 million that get coronavirus die.

With approximately 350 million people in the US, if everyone got the flu 700,000 people would die. If everyone got coronavirus, 7,350,000 people would die

What?

1) I wasn’t trying to say that
2) it is clearly a deadly virus as it is killing people
3) It seems like you were asking a question intent on going after anyone who responded without 100% agreement.

I think there might be more people who fetishize downplaying it and telling people why they are smarter than them because they aren’t worried than people who seem to be fetishizing it’s pandemic spread

For a guy who gets triggered anytime someone says he's hoping for more carnage, you sure do have an interesting habit of spinning/ignoring any good news...

Several people, including the US president, have suggested that the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and the disease it causes, COVID-19, will go away on its own in the warmer weather that will come in the Northern Hemisphere in coming months. Some have even suggested that the experience with SARS in 2003 provides evidence for this assertion.

quote:

The short answer is that while we may expect modest declines in the contagiousness of SARS-CoV-2 in warmer, wetter weather and perhaps with the closing of schools in temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, it is not reasonable to expect these declines alone to slow transmission enough to make a big dent.

quote:

So in summary: for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, we have reason to expect that like other betacoronaviruses, it may transmit somewhat more efficiently in winter than summer, though we don’t know the mechanism(s) responsible. The size of the change is expected to be modest, and not enough to stop transmission on its own.  Based on the analogy of pandemic flu, we expect that SARS-CoV-2, as a virus new to humans, will face less immunity and thus transmit more readily even outside of the winter season. Changing seasons may help, but are unlikely to stop transmission.

The above are from an infectious disease expert at Harvard. He goes over myths and factors and lays things out pretty clearly.

So far by the numbers the only country it has completely broken out is SK and maybe Italy. Iran probably is as well based off what we have seen, but the numbers don’t really suggest that yet.

They could still be understaffed even if things are slowing down.
