I’m wondering what the real numbers in China are. They aren’t shutting down like this over a 900 cases.

Look at twitter. There's multiple videos showing numerous bodies dead in the hospital hallways as people wait for a doctor.

I posted in the other thread that my wife has a 9 hour layover in Hong Kong next week. I was kidding about upping her life insurance but now she is probably going to have to cancel her trip. We will continue to monitor it as she was going home to see family and for a wedding.

Got a link for this? Not that I want to see bodies, but all I have seen are hallways lined with people waiting for care. Some people on the floor but no way of knowing if they are dead or alive.

I've seen videos of the actual doctors collapsing, too.

In fairness, people in South Louisiana can't really talk about people eating weird stuff. Now we don't eat it raw like they do and that is the difference IMO

Why would anyone go near a hospital over there for any reason? If you’ve got it, there’s no cure for it. If you’re not sure if you’ve got it, your odds of getting it at the hospital go way up. I mean, how are those appointments going? I imagine the doctor stepping over collapsed people on his way to the room, “so, what brings you in today?”

Comparing that to eating bats, wolves, rats and then exotic animals not meant for human consumption really isn’t fair.

They need to start with burning that market down

Their Gov is loving this. As Bob Barker used to say "Help Control the pet population" and while doing so they are helping control the people population

win win for them

My wife is Chinese but born in Indo. She tries to get me to eat weird shite when we travel. I decline. Call me uncultured but I am old enough to know that I will not like raw frogs as you stated.

China isn’t being honest about this number.

Scruffy would place money on it being higher.

I just want to know when this morphs into making people zombies. I have watched a lot of zombie movies/shows and I think I am ready.

I would be like to Will Smith in I Am Legend I like to think

They're what China is admitting to so far.

Most if not all the deaths are from elderly people with other underlying health issues.

The coronavirus is a common virus. This strand, the Wuhan coronavirus, is new, but it is not some plague type virus. Media sensationalism is driving the "lethality" of it, and nothing more. It's akin to pneumonia or a respiratory infection. That's about it.
