In all honesty, seems like things are slowing down... Not as rapid as before in my mind.

If that weren't so pitiful, in my part of the country, someone would suggest with those odds that she buy a lottery ticket.
Did you read both the links? The chance of a Chinese person with a respiratory infection having this new variation is actually less than 1 in a million.
The screenings don't work either, not in any effective way. You can't stop ever person coming in with a fever.

Is he the 1st outside of China to die?
There have been deaths in both India and Africa of people with the virus symptoms that had recently traveled in China. However, they weren't tested, so not confirmed deaths.

The problem is China has 1 trillion people. So that would mean 1 million fit that criteria.

People still freaking out about this?

How much is a trillion people? If China:US population ratio holds, the US would have around 330 billion people. Earth’s current pop is only around 7.5 billions.

It surprised me to find this Al Jazeera link with a lot of information. It's a fast read. Surprising how many cases are tourists from Wuhan. Working statistics on tourists as per cent of total population and then as percentages of different socio econmomic groups in Wuhan is way, way beyond my pay grade

It not surprising... Goes back to the line of thinking its contamination and easier to get the virus from the source in Wuhan than to pass it person to person.

I don’t know why so many of you hate Al Jazeera.
They are an amazing source for international issues
