Reportedly it is multiple parishes.

Apparently the commercial testing company was double counting some people.

Man I don't mean to sound like a creep but I have been silently following your daily updates for the past week or so. I'm excited like hell for you to be finally headed home.

I have been having the slight fear of what if you just suddenly never checked back in on here,, so yea I am excited like hell for you and your family. Hug your kids, kiss your wife(if that's safe to do lol). Congrats on kicking Covid's arse.

CNN just played a video that was made by a mother with COVID19 to her kids in case she was never able to see them again.

It was very dramatic and really heart-wrenching. Really shows how serious this is. They spent a lot of time talking about how sad this was.

Then they quickly breezed over a few facts before changing the subject - she is young, thin, otherwise healthy, and she has now fully recovered and is back home with her kids.

Gotta turn that trash off man.

I've stuck to BBC world news and am all the better for it.

Not as US focused obviously but really get to skirt past a ton of the bullshite and drama.

I kept seeing that stat on the news and on reddit to try to scare young people into taking it seriously.

The virus could take out its biggest name soon... UK’s PM Boris Johnson now in ICU

Gonna be a bad, bad, bad look for China and the WHO if this happens.

I agree that is what it is designed to do, evoke fear. It is basically a meaningless state in my opinion. Of course anyone can catch the virus and anyone can test positive for it, it's a virus.

And a vast majority of our population is between the ages of 19-64

The real number is hospitalization rates by 5 year age band. It really starts to spike in your high 50s but gets crazy high after 70.

Hope this doesn't happen but wasn't he out and travelling around only a few weeks ago, meeting with folks pretty irresponsibly?

Could have him mixed up, although should be impossible given his appearance and phallus last name.

He did it to himself. It's not their fault he was going around shaking hands at hospitals with COVID patients.

quote:

“I was at a hospital the other night where I think there were actually a few coronavirus patients and I shook hands with everybody, you’ll be pleased to know, and I continue to shake hands,” Mr Johnson said.

The crazy thing about this is that even if you think it's no worse than a severe flu, you still shouldn't be shaking hands with people that have it. I certainly don't knowingly shake hands with people that have the flu.
