Daily airline volume on Saturday was approximately 100k passengers. For the same date one year ago the volume was over 2 million passengers.

The further out their numbers start to increase, the less the leaders will get blamed for “acting slowly” like Louisiana’s leaders are. Even though you had events like Kobe’s memorial happen on Lundi Gras. An event where people were packed tightly together and come from all over the country and world.

My mom is 63. I will be wearing an n95 mask and gloves. She too has a mask and gloves. I won't be hugging her or doing anything to put her more at risk. I get your concern and I appreciate it very much but my wife is under quarantine because she has it and I have nobody else that can pick me up.

She was tested for COVID and was positive. Also had no known underlying conditions.
And yes, I would consider this an exception as I think most would, but it goes to show that it CAN happen.

California has largely been relying on Quest and LabCorp to run most of their tests for them. Eight to fifteen days ago, these huge commercial labs, especially Quest, were accepting tens (maybe over a hundred) of thousands of test kits more than they could efficiently test. Quest backed up over a week.
Quest has now basically emptied their backlog, and tests should all be run in 3-4 days.
But beyond that, two days ago, Gov. Newsom announced that UC-Davis and UCSD would be working together to create 5-7 "testing nodes", so that CA can handle more of its own tests. He promised a "fivefold" increase in completed tests.

There was the 'healthcare worker' in NOLA that OD'd or something. Multiple corona tests later people still won't concede that is the case.

Feeling somewhat ok, then dropping dead in your home is absolutely not normal with this virus and would lead most to beleive something else causes the sudden death. Does that mean it isn’t “impossible” for coronavirus to suddenly kill you? No. But that is absolutely not in the norm

That's not what the article says at all. It says nothing about feeling somewhat ok. It only says she ha the illness and was told to wait it out at home.

My anecdote along those lines:
Guy in his late 50s is thought to be very healthy. I’m talking eats extremely well and does ironmans. Gets covid and his heart stops. He’s unconscious for a day or so. He’s in ICU. Turns out he had early onset Parkinson’s and he didn’t tell anyone except his wife.

FYI - the market is responding to the great news over the weekend! Both DJI and SPX up over 5% at the moment.
Good news weekend:
- Projections from IHME models with refreshed data are far less bleak
- FDA approved antibody test
- Italy appears to have really turned a corner
- NFL was told to expect starting on time
- A few days closer to hot weather
We are seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Some horrible numbers will come out in the next week or two, but we need to hold strong and understand it will pass.
Hope all you baws have loaded up on some positions in the market. JETS is an ETF I recommend that will recover in a major way.

Probably some sort of cardiac manifestation of the disease which would be extremely difficult to predict in the absence of a cardiac history.

Imagine all the motherfrickers out there that will blow their wad traveling when this shite ends. Racking up credit card points during quarantine, rescheduling flights to later in the year, buying cheap flights as they're offered now, etc.

Wouldn’t pay much attention to these cases as they are extreme fringe cases

Early Parkinsonism really shouldn’t matter in terms of disease profession with covid.

And “no known preexsiting conditions” doesn’t mean there weren’t any.
The autopsy still hasn’t been released, but if I was a betting man, I’d put money on there was something else going on there.
