looking at just the top eleven countries with highest incidents of infection, all are part of western developed countries, n America and Europe with the exception of china, Iran and turkey. those top western account for about70 % of worldwide infections out of 120+ countries reporting

looks like developed countries have lost some of the natural immunity provided by living in natures environment

Or western culture is so much more advanced that we don’t have real struggles so we got fat and lazy and it shows in our health.

There aren’t any “my 600 pound life” episodes based in China, India, the Middle East, and other shite holes for a reason

Developed nations are more likely to have superior testing and diagnosis infrastructure.

The more diagnoses, the higher the reported infection rate.

Or...you know the more obvious answer? The other countries are not testing or reporting their cases.

They aren’t testing.

The only countries that are routinely testing are the wealthiest.

China is lying about their numbers.

Iran is rocked.

India isn’t testing at all and have no clue.

Your post is a prime example of just how stupid as a society we’ve become.

It’s quite frustrating how dumb people are. I saw some idiot saying fricking Senegal was doing better than the US because they had no cases

Look at the “testing numbers”... I’d imagine that the “western/more developed countries” have more accessible and advanced healthcare options, ergo more testing across the board, ergo more “confirmed cases/deaths”

India is testing now but they were so late to the game that they’re struggling to acquire to tests. Regardless, there’s no way India will ever test even 2% of their population because they would means tens of millions of tests

I think that is not likely to hold true as people die in droves of infectious diseases in general in developing countries. But I get where you are going with that. One thing I have heard floating around attributes that observation (if it is indeed true, which I am skeptical of) to our old friend the BCG vaccine, which in addition to being used in developing countries to protect against TB, is purported by some to be an overall immune modulator. Throw that in google and see what comes out the other side. I'm not linking anything.

Less developed nations test less.

However, you bring up a legitimate point regarding immunity.
We as a nation eat a shite diet.
A better diet with more whole foods would boost immunity overall.

Maybe we'll see poorer areas have worse outcomes when this is all over?
I'd suspect that to be so. But, too early to say for certain.

Developed countries also have more old people and more interaction between cities

It’s travel. People don’t really travel to or from undeveloped countries en mass. Meanwhile there is tons and tons of two-way travel between Europe, North America and East Asia.

Also, it’s hard to have diabetes when you’re country doesn’t have an abundance of food.

Also, it’s hard to have old people when your country doesn’t have very good healthcare.
