I just drove by Jane Doe's house. Kind of crazy how quiet it is and the thought that none of their neighbors know Jane is involved in one on the biggest stories in the country right now.

Problem for her is the story she told the cops showed no assault but she’s keeping it up to hopefully get paid
She did not file her police complaint and do a rape kit for 2 1/2 wks.
In the meantime, the story had gone campus-wide. She got disinvited to the Frat's Halloween Party. That seems to have been the coup de grâce.
Her report was excruciatingly explicit and detailed. It was not an interview transcript. It was a 6-page single-spaced typed description in her own words.
At no point did she describe nonconsensual actions.
For example, at one point, she was engaged in a threesome with a drunk guy passed out on the bed next to the three of them. He woke up and proposed making it a foursome, but she said she refused .... because she "knew that would mean anal sex." She did "snort ketamine off of his penis" though. Later, she had a separate threesome with him. That's by her account.
All of it was forwarded to the DA who declined to prosecute.

This is maddening, for so many reasons. Ladies, you have agency over your own bodies. Period. Don't slam alcohol and head by yourself to a frat house, do a bunch of drugs, and then blame the guys for not knowing how drunk/high you were. By this logic, the guys were also drunk/high and couldn't make decisions either. It sounds like the guy who sent the text was also drunk/high. My eyeballs need a bath after reading this story.

How is prosecuting these guys not a clear, objective abuse of the criminal process?
Doesn’t the police report alone objectively establish reasonable doubt?

She did somehow get hooked up with a big time Manhattan plaintiff's firm like E Jean. Facts look bad from what we know but they see some meat on the bone.
