I can add to the "cops really piss me off sometimes"

Back in college, gf and hanging out at the apartment complex pool one summer day and it ends up being a heavy drinking day. Pool party goes into the night and by about 8pm everyone's pretty damn drunk. We get into a pretty heated arguement and end up taking it to the apartment. In her drunkeness she gets the idea that she doesn't want to be there anymore and is going to stay with her parents IN SHREVEPORT (we're in BR). I proceed to lock the deadbolt to the door (this was back when deadbolts still had to be locked on both sides of the door with a key, not just a knob). So, she gets real pissed and calls 911 and of course the cops show up. Now, nothing physical has occured so I'm feeling like its not a big deal. 30 minutes later, I'm cuffed up and charged with unlawful detainment.....For "not letting a friend drink and drive". Cops told me I had to find a place to stay for the night or they'd take me to jail.

Judging by the OP's recent posts, he seems more like a cat guy.

Yeah, the authorities kind of frown on little things like kidnapping.

I prefer a beer. Nobody calls the cops on you when you relax with a beer. On the other hand, pulling out your guns that you haven't fired, to "clean" them, seems a bit threatening.

After reading all of both threads, my advice to the OP is that you need to do what ever it takes to get back together with this chick.

Y'all are both morons and by staying together you're preventing two unsuspecting, innocent, normal, no-trash people from getting caught up in your crazy shite.

Get her back, get your nuts snipped so you can't procreate, and stay together through thick and thin man, you owe it to the rest of us.

You do know that the deadbolt "knob" is not some modern invention right? How old are you?

This is the correct answer.

I hear they also frown on activities like stealing, as in stealing the keys to a car so they can't drive when they're drunk.

This was an older apartment building. Now they require that the inside has the knob, but this was not always required. I am likely a lot older than you.

Who is "they"? The government?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I am not aware of any requirements for deadbolts having a knob on the inside.
