At least once a week an unleashed dog runs out and wants to frick with my dog... my dog would kill 99 percent of them. I pick my dog up and wait for the owner to get their dog... it's not that hard. I don't want to see any dog harmed.

Same thing happens when I walk my dog, it is not a problem. I was a paper boy as a kid, dogs chasing after you were a daily thing, it was part of the job, didn't realize I was in grave danger.

It is actually pathetic, if you see a story about a cop and a dog, the cop has killed the dog. If you see a story about a fireman and a dog, the fireman has rescued the dog, guess the owners can just be thankful the fireman got to the house before the cops.

Uh, i would hope not, or they are pussies.

Father worked 33 1/2 years in the cesspool of North St.Louis, and i can count on my hand the number of times he carried his gun while we went places.

Unless he was going to some shady arse place to meet his buddies for beers, he didn't carry.

And i have NEVER seen a cop, walking a dog, carrying.

So you think dog owners walking their leashed dogs must now accept any injuries an unleashed dog causes them and not defend themselves because the unleash dog is someone’s family pet in his own neighborhood?

You took what he said, changed it, stretched it, put it on steroids and threw it out there like a 13" dick.

In THIS particular circumstance he does not believe the cop. The cop shot a dog that he knew well and knew to be a big Marmaduke MF'er. He then stood there smugly, with pride.

A lot of people. I had my dog off leash at my cousin's, while we were trying to repair a roof from tree damage. A neighbor came walking up with his dog near us. When my dog ran over to say hello (while wagging her tail), he pulled his gun on her.

The guy is a fricking lunatic, that should live in the suburbs. If you're afraid to walk around your own neighborhood without a gun, you need to move.

Hell, there's a loon on here that posts about his neighbors getting worried because he open carries riding his mower around at 6:30 am.

Lol. I forgot about that guy. Why would anyone feel the need to do that? Or mow his fricking yard at 6:30?

You and your neighbors are fricking weird...unless you live in Beirut. In that case, carry on.

Those aren't the only two choices. He could have picked up his dog and walked away. He could have waited to see if the dog just wanted to play. This cop is a piece of shite and deserves everything that is about to come his way. I just feel sorry for his dog because some other arse hole is probably going to try to retaliate against his dog.

Let me clarify.

Me and the neighbors I know carry while walking our dogs at night or early in the morning. Usually 1030-1100 pm and 530-600 am.

Not in the middle of the day.

Many dogs have aggressively charged me before and they all just wanted a hug. This cop is a huge pussy.

Leash law, he’s in the right. You can feel bad it happened all you want, doesn’t make what he did wrong.

You have some weird leash law if it expressly permits shooting and killing unleashed dogs. Most leash laws generally are local administrative ordinances.

No...but I think that if this guy was an insurance salesman who was walking his pitbull with his concealed carry weapon and he shot a dog in his neighborhood, most people would see it as a fairly big issue, and not be suggesting that the poor guy just needed to get home safely to his family and thus had to protect himself.
