I stopped by the museum on the way home from the Atlanta Sx one year. Whoever was driving the van was had to have been an instructor. He was hauling arse.
Were you sore from driving that hard and all the g's?

Barber is a phenomenal complex. Absolutely worth checking out the museum if anyone ever has time to do so. It is top notch.

Actually, there was a lady, probably 5’2”, in my group. Any time I heard ridiculous squealing tires, it was her. She did take out some cones,

There are Porsche Driving Experiences in ATL, Barber Motorsports Park, and Laguna Seca now.
I want to plan a long layover at ATL and do the one there, it's right by the airport.

How does it work if you put one of their cars into a wall or another one of the cars?

I'm jealous. What a cool experience.

Thanks in advance.

That's a great post and I know how much fun you had! I did a day there years ago and it included off--roading in Cayennes! Some wild experience I'll never forget!

I didn't ask, but I got the impression that most folks there would be able to find the $ in the couch cushions to pay for it. Definitely some folks with serious coin in my group. One guy owned over 40 Porsches currently, my driving partner "tracked" his Ferrari 458 Italia, I was really bringing down the wealth average of my group.

I worked for Porsche NA for over a decade and I put the contract in place at Barber 15+ years ago. One of the coolest projects I worked on. They do a great job with it and the one at the HQ in ATL is also great. They make a great vehicle.

Sounds Awesome !
I visited that track for a motorcycle race and saw the Porsche museum. It’s a gorgeous spot.

Road Atlanta used to have about 4 weekends a year where you could, for about $50, bring any kind of car you wanted and race others who had the price of admission. It was a blast. My niece's boyfriend had a mustang he built that was pushing about 600 HP. It was fun as hell to be on that track in that car. I doubt I ever got above 100 MPH doing it but it seemed pretty exciting and fast with other cars on the track. I have done 140 on the autobahn and it wasn't as exhilarating as racing neck and neck with 2 other cars at 60 MPH heading into a hairpin turn. I don't think Road Atlanta does this anymore for obvious reasons LOL but it was fun when they did....
