It’s a shame and totally backwards. Animals don’t fear the whistle they fear the cane. Why are we sacrificing the super majority for the unwilling minority regardless of race or political party? I weep for my kids having to deal with this toa much greater extent than I will have to.

In fairness the south side has plenty of bad areas. The Austin, Garfield Park, Humboldt Park, North Lawndale area is the worst and that’s the west side.
Garfield Park has 37k residents and 68 homicides this year. That’s insane. Add in 321 wounded.
That would be like Baton Rogue having over 400 murders.
Meanwhile Lincoln Park has 70k residents and zero homicides

I still can’t figure out how black people only commit 40-something percent of the homicides in this country.
There is nowhere in the country where white people are just gunning people down. There’s no way the sporadic murders committed by white people here and there come anywhere close to representing a significant portion of the other 60% of homicides.

What number would Chicago have to reach a year before the number would have to start decreasing sharply due to shortage of thugs?

If you look at the people arrested for murder, I’m sure way less arrests are made when it comes to gang violence than with something like where a husband kills his wife. I would guess that most of the white people who murder are commit murder during domestic disputes, whereas with black offenders it’s street violence and nobody talks and no suspect is arrested. A husband killing a wife is way easier to arrest a suspect than with gang violence.
There’s gotta be more to the numbers than what we see.
Look at any city. Even big cities with large white populations like Boston or Seattle or Portland. It’s still black people doing the vast majority of the murders.
I’ve done a lot of research on this and it just doesn’t add up.
