That’s a damn stupid reason to pick where to live.

no it's not...not at all.

People pick places to live for all sorts of reasons...watching sports is a huge factor in that decision process.

Just like someone that moves to Florida bc of the weather and the beach...or someone that moves to Colorado bc they like to hike and snow ski, or same reasons people move to certain places because of their hobbies.

Why did you move to Boston?

Florida has been opened up, didn’t frick businesses, and they’re doing just fine. You could even argue better than Louisiana and they have a more elderly population. What science are you referring to?

A job?

If your argument is watching baseball live is as important as a job, then so be it. I’ll just have to agree to disagree.

that’s it? A job?

Nothing else swayed your decision to move across the country? You couldn’t find an equal job somewhere else?

I have lived in 5 cities and towns across Louisiana and have lived in Mississippi for the past 10 years. Believe me, there is not a bit of difference between the two states. If there weren’t a river between them, they would be the same state. If you are happy in one of them, you would be perfectly happy in the other. Tell me which area of Louisiana you like and I’ll tell you the area of Mississippi that it is comparable to.

The only reasons would be family, food or fishing. Otherwise it’s not better

Louisiana is miles above Mississippi.

Mississippi is a joke of a state that refuses to rise above the level of a backward Hicksville

Money.

Seriously.

One of my good friends left Mississippi making 10 bucks an hour. He makes 6 figures in sales now. Age 24.

I was the opposite. Make a lot more on the Coast than in New Orleans.

We moved to SW Mississippi about 10 years ago and it’s been a decision we are very happy with. The kids are growing up riding four wheelers, fishing, and trapping. Last year the kids stayed home from school after spring break and it was a great time for them. My oldest(16) learned to weld, change oil in his truck, and wire a trailer. They would not be able to have those experiences growing up in a subdivision. I worry about the future as far as jobs go because there isn’t much here outside of logging, retail, and working at the hospital.
The only downside is having to travel to BR for work but I knew that when we moved here. We often say moving to the country was the best thing we could have done for our family.

I lived in La for 54 years Laf/BR and now Miss Coast 4 years. Miss Coast beats anywhere in La by a mile. Traveled to Shreveport last weekend for work, what a disaster that place is. The only decent place to go was the Riverwalk and now most of the business's are shut down. The rest of the city is dangerous ghetto.

Moved from the holy grail of Louisiana (Madisonville)

That place is too cute for me. Living there would feel like walking around in a frilly dress all day.

Madisonville's like a Lifetime movie come to life. There's a lantern-jawed Chad around every corner, just ready to impress the virtues of small-town life on your Manhattan fashion magazine arse with his throbbing member.

Moved from Houma to Carriere MS almost 3 years ago. Huge upgrade in quality of life. Still close enough to the bayou for a day trip if needed.

Driving through Jackson is like driving up and down a staircase.

I lived in MS for nearly 5 years and was never once in the Delta and rarely in Jackson. I'd rather live in OS than anywhere in LA, and honestly probably rather live in Hattiesburg than anywhere in LA
