Anyone been out there recently…how’s the course? Thinking of making a drive to play but wanted to see if it was in decent shape.

Thanks for the good info. Would need to be kid friendly…
“Houston Area” would be key wording in the post which I referred to when mentioning where I previously played. I never said we were staying in Houston when talking about about the Woodlands trip upcoming. No need to be a dick, hope your day gets better baw.

Getting a long weekend in with the family soon. We will be staying on the Hilton Resort and it says they have 2 courses. I’ve played around the Houston area, but never there. How are the courses? Are they worth the green fees? Any input on restaurants within the area also greatly appreciated.

Why couldn’t it be “Judge” Trudy White…
Lincoln Riley was actually here in town this week. Maybe he was just visiting family though.

Just looked it up, course looks sweet. What’s your thoughts on it?
Blackhorse’s website has same thing. Saturday morning tee time is $138

Barstool Sports and Golf Now Appd have Saturday morning before 10:00 tee time at $144, then drops to $138. I didn’t mind Golf Club of Houston but it also wasn’t out of this world. I’m thinking it will either be Memorial or Cypresswood- Tradition. Appreciate all the input.

Going up the first weekend in October. My wife is wedding dress shopping with her friend and will bring our little one. I’ll be by myself and want to play a great course. Green fee is no object, only want to play the best course I can. I played the Championship Course at GC of Houston several years ago. I enjoyed it…what’s best place to play?
Golf Club of Houston is $92
Cypress wood is $85
I’ve heard good things about Cypresswood (which 18 should I play?)
I’m seeing Blackhorse which is like $144…is it worth it? Any thoughts are most welcome. Single digit handicap here so I’m not worried on difficulty aspect. Thanks

Jackson Hole

Potentially planning a family vacation to Jackson Hole in late October or early November. We will have our 3 year old with us. I’m trying to find out if we should go somewhere else or if there is enough for her to do there. Looking at going 4 or 5 days. We would like to stay in town. Best places to stay and eat? Activities we can do with a 3 year old? Is it best to rent a car or Uber? Thanks for any input…
You’re still wearing masks?
The obvious distinction is distance, which everyone points to. You have to also look at type of course. If the rough is grown up such as a US Open, PGA, our Tour Championship, that hugely favors the men. Women wouldn’t be able to hit much more than a wedge out of that rough due to strength. The other factor is pin placements. Phil Mickleson played that Senior event and went really low. Afterwards he said he was able to take dead aim at every single pin. The pga guys can hoist a 5 iron straight up in the air, 220, as stop it quickly. There’s many more pins accessible to them than the women. Mickleson also talked about how cups on PGA were placed on knobs where it can get hard to be aggressive putting, but we’re flat with the Senior setup. I’m sure it’s the same with LPGA.
An infinite amount of beauty supplies would have done very little to help that gorilla.
I have, 96 days then a relapse about 6 months after getting out. Cleaned up and been sober 11 years.
Must’ve forgot your daily dose of soy.
