Hookers should be considered an amenity. Let them get called up like room service

they remind me a little of military B rations

i'm not above a hampton inn in my travels for work to save some money, but let's not act like it's any sort of fine establishment.
ETA: service and breakfast quality has definitely declined since COVID. all travel for work kinda sucks now TBH

Holiday Inn Express has a great breakfast for free. rooms are nice too.
This. It’s my spot of choice if I have to drive more than one day to get to my next job. They may have cut back during covid but they’re back up and running with their biscuits, sausage, and a pretty damn good gravy. Plenty more options as well but those are my favorites. Same exact items at pretty much every location.

Due to COVID we will now be allowed you a substandard level of service without further explanation.

Yea, but those cinnamon rolls at Holiday Inn are worth every calorie.

This. We stayed one place on a family vacation summer of 2019 that had a full, hot breakfast buffet with omelet bar included with the rooms. Sometime in 2020 my husband stayed at the same hotel for a night and they had coffee and prepackaged Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. He doesn't drink coffee and hates sweets so he was not happy.

Why are you staying at such a shitty hotel?
Posted on 3/8/22 at 11:27 am to olemc999
They've always been a gimmick.

I stay away from shitty hotels whose lobby/breakfast area smells like a kindergarten cafeteria.

I refuse to stay at Hampton Inns.
I make it a rule to avoid staying at places where stupid phrases like "It's a good day to have a good day" on the bathroom doors. And yes, all of the new or recently remodeled Hampton Inns have stupid features like that.
frick those places.

I prefer the free breakfast at the Ritz Carlton.

Last time I stayed at a Hampton, the breakfast was great.
Drury in BR had a nice breakfast a few weeks ago.

I've always had an aversion to these "free" continental breakfasts at hotels.
It's easier to just local a McDonalds or Whataburger for breakfast.

When you try to spend less money one a night at a hotel, you can’t expect anything more than a shitty breakfast.
Pay $100 more a night and go get a hot meal at an Embassy you cheap arse
