Doesn’t make up for 20% of an oil company. And while I don’t care for meetings with HR, some of those folks are actually put in place to make sure you don’t get sued during job interviews, PIPs, firings, etc.
DEI…yeah…throw it all out. But there’s still going to be layoffs of engineers, land, regulatory, tech and such.

The fact that in an “at will” state I can’t look at any employee and say “I no longer have the will to employ you, you’re fired” is complete bull shite.

AI and overseas tech/eng positions to India. All the majors are chopping heads hard. There will be more Indians in India, working for US oil companies than Americans in America in the next 2-3yrs.

I know Shell always had a lot of positions working out of the Philipeans, but in the last 5-7 years they have moved a bunch more positions to there, Poland, and India.

Seattle has subtly been going through high tech layoffs lately. Not huge numbers, just a hundred/several hundred at a time.
We're in a period where corporate jobs will be declining, not growing. MOst of humanity will be gig workers in 30 years.

yea the Trump admin has been known to tell these companies to ship jobs overseas. they havent done anything to bring jobs back or try and stop this kind of stuff at all huh?
