Let this guy live next to the people responsible for granting him a release.

I’ve been saying for forever that the people who are responsible for releasing murderers should bear responsibility if they murder again. If they refuse your suggestion then they are admitting they don’t deem the releasee safe enough for themselves, just safe enough for other people.

I hope one of the conditions of his release is that he doesn't murder and eat anyone else.

I'm sure they duly cautioned him.

A little over 12 years ago. He killed and ate a few bites of a homeless dude.
12 years doesn't seem very long for murder. Nothing in the article about the charge being dropped down to manslaughter or anything which may have led to a shorter sentence.

So he only murdered one person and only ate 1 eyeball and only part of the victim's brain?
They think that he is all better now.
Let's let him out and see how it goes.
I suggest that we set up a condo where the doctor, judge, defense attorney and the psychologist can all live with this guy to best observe his progress.
Hey, if they are so sure, why shouldn't they accept the risks?
Why should an unsuspecting public be subjected to the risk which flow from this foolish decision?

No. No, it really isn't.

Just for clarification the connecticut valley hospital used to be called the connecticut hospital for the insane.

Wait, so if you shoot a guy you get locked up for the rest of your life
There are (unfortunately) tons of people who don't get life for shooting and killing people.

So the judge is saying, "you can only do that one more time and you are in trouble."

conditional release
Wonder if his conditions were
1) Don’t kill people
2) Don’t eat people

I see no problem as long as he stays in Connecticut. Zombie eating zombies.

This sounds like it should have been covered in the UAB Hospital thread.

Connecticut should be forced to permanently keep him from leaving the state, but the guaranteed way is putting him in jail. He is eventually going to slip away. These decisions don’t just affect the people that voted the wokesters into office.
He was caught in Florida back in 2012 and was staying with a friend there.

Being woke is a mental disorder.
