It’s going to drive people to hoard cash at home instead of banks. The underground cash economy doesn’t use banks as much anyway so that’s a weak excuse…

This is to catch potential illegal drug money and such.

And the OP is wrong. They want to monitor all transactions in or out in accounts with 600 dollars or more in them

You act like this has been some huge news story. No one knew about this shite before the Senator from ID said something. It's a stupid thing to put in the bill and I hope it's removed.

BTW, we don't know who put it in there so quite an assumption that the dems are pushing for this. This is clearly aimed at the working class, not the wealthy. GOP has a much more robust history of going after the working man's dollars so don't be surprised if this came from one of them. This has stopping the hiring of illegals written all over it.

One of my friends in HS had a dad who was really old school. Cool guy. The friend was a girl and most of the guys we hung out with were very much city boys so they never had much interest in his gun collection or hunting. I went to a smaller more rural school so we always had that sort of thing in common.

One time when we were looking at his guns in his safe he accidentally had his other hidden safe (inside his gun safe) open and I saw dozens and dozens of gold bullion bars. In hindsight that may have been a not so low key flex or he was trying to convince me to date his daughter.

The proposal is not to monitor individual transactions but just the yearly gross inflow and outflow.

Yep. Once they have that info they don't need humans to actually look at the numbers. Computers can run algorithms and make millions of calculations per second. They'll flag people whose documented in flows and outflows don't match and then you'll get an audit. Up to you then to prove you paid in your fair share.

F these F'ing scum bags.

And that sir is a fact. You’re absolutely dead on. If you can’t see that with the mandates, shutting down the American economy, throwing money we don’t have at it, and mandating people inject a vaccine into their own bodies or they lose employment while the government pays arse loads to people who simply do not want to work, then there’s no hope for you as a human being.

These are the absolute worst Americans to ever inhabit this land, and I say that not because we differ on principles to get to a common goal, because there is no more common goal anymore. I say this because they are destructive to the American way of life, and as such, they are everyone’s enemy, everyone who believes in what this country was founded upon.

HINT…. This ain’t it, and they aren’t classical liberal. They are enemies of this country.

Well....yeah....

That's literally how the public is informed about the content of bills that are still circulating in congress.

Ah yes the machine that collects over $3 trillion in taxes annually believes the system has a revenue problem.

I’ll say yes to this if they get rid of automatic deductions.

Does the IRS even have the manpower and infrastructure in place to handle the massive amount of new information they'll be receiving if this passes? It sounds like a nightmare for everyone involved.

They’ll hire ten of thousands of people to handle the work load and those costs will exceed new collections.
