Pretty much all of them. I'm willing to bet there's no limit to how many you could technically attend. I've heard of schools doing something like this. None of the smaller ceremonies take the place of the normal school-wide commencement ceremony. Although some students will elect to go to one or the other, or some will go to both.

Albeit, when I've seen stuff like this. The smaller ceremonies are typically more of a banquet type function instead of an actual graduation ceremony. Most folks don't actually wear their cap/gowns for that. So what they're doing here might be a bit different than what I've seen before.

No, what people who support this kind of devisive nonsense want is not "separate but equal". They want "separate but EUQITABLE". That is, they want to be completely separate from you but also have the same RESULTS you have. Regardless of the fact you may have worked hard or sacrificed to earn it.

True. They want separate with access to your "reparations" and your resources of privilege that they are entitled to aka "equity." frick em'. If you hate white people so much and you want your own spaces. Cool. Stay in your spaces, I'll stay in mine. Mind your business. Leave me alone and I'll do the same. Good luck.

Ivy League schools don’t like to acknowledge the continued existence of white people. White people can quietly pay tuition but don’t expect any ceremonies.

We need more diversity, so let’s host events where people can celebrate with only “their own kind.”

Only 6 different groups? Those are rookie numbers. Any true sjw can divide the student body into much finer groupings.

In honor of Columbia’s diverse student community and complementing the school- and University-wide graduation ceremonies, we are proud to also offer Multicultural Graduation Celebrations, which provide a more intimate setting for students who self-identify in a variety of ways. These events invite community members to reflect on personal growth and community experiences that have impacted their time as students through to graduation. All students are invited to participate in these celebrations.

This is much ado about nothing. shite like this has been happening forever, it's no different than saying IFC or Panhellenic doing one a separate banquet for Greeks graduating.

What's sad is someone sought this out to get a bunch of people riled up with half the story, and it worked perfectly.

And if a group wanted to have a white-only celebration? How do you think that would turn out?

It's not only open to those groups, but to your point, there is a complete double standard. Liberals and hypocrite are basically synonyms at this point.

Think the issue is that double standard, not that they have these extra ceremonies.

I am so damn tired of hearing about race.

I was listening to the news this morning and every single story has something to do with one race 'not being treated equally". And it's all so much bullshite.

Do they just mail the white people their diploma? Or do they even allow white people to attend their school these days?

Non-heterosexual (LGBTQIA+) students may choose to attend a “Lavender” ceremony.

Two gay guys are in a homosexual relationship. One guy transitions to a woman and remains in the relationship with the man. One guy goes from G to T so neither are gay?

Eta: if the graduate is white they are no longer invited to any of these graduations?

Is there a ceremony for the white people too?
