Ok, I’ll propose a compromise.
I’m ok with this...
If the family member/friend has to pay UP FRONT for TOP DOLLAR representation for the accused to do this...

Ditto for West Texas in the 90s.
If the drug dog came in, our principal would call all the hunters in and send them home to get rid of their guns since we’d go dove hunting after practice.

The worst part about this for me is that there are actual officers around here that would still enforce this because they can’t afford suspension days or getting fired because of the retirement, insurance, and pay check.
The comments from law enforcement would be “don’t blame me, blame the politicians for enacting these laws.” “I’m just acting in good faith” “I’m just doing my job”
Then if violence occurs because people would rather go down fighting than lose their freedoms, there will be this thin blue line outpour on social media like they don’t understand why anyone would be violent against that type of enforcement

Are they really seizing property based on a petition using only a civil standard (i am guessing petition also unknown to owner or wouldn’t a dangerous person just act preemptively) & then with the post seizure hearing not only putting burden of proof on owner but also increasing standard above what was required for seizure in first place?

Absolutely I do and I went through it for years myself. At no point did I want to hurt other people and if I wanted to hurt myself not having a gun wasn't going to stop me. You actually are the one stigmatizing the depressed right now.

well i have determined all cops and law enforcement pose a danger because they have guns and are trained to use them so they need to immediately start to confiscate all weapons from the cops

The right to bear harms is a fundamental right for all American citizens. But just like many other rights, this right can and should be taken away in certain situations.

That is not a great comparison. Considering many individuals do lose their privilege in having a license for certain amounts of time. Also, when people are arrested, their cars may get impounded as well.
