Well when it’s a knife and they aren’t in the vehicle, ya.

Later on they let him pick it up and put it on the other side of the vehicle. May as well let him put it outside the vehicle where it’s not a threat at all.

The problem here is this guy being British and thinking knives are terrible weapons from the UK conditioning people to think butter knives kill. There was no reason to tell dispatch you have geology tools in the car. That info made the situation spiral out of control.

Sorry, Boat, but that wasn’t the problem, which was that the dude was a friggin nut!

You walk up on that dude and you are going to assume he just has a knife? After more cops showed up and they were able to read the situation better the encounter changed to one where they were negotiating with him. You can watch them look around in the vehicle more and call out everything that they could see in the vehicle, like the rocks, knives, empty pill bottle, his water jug, etc. thats just my opinion.

So you are saying a cop should tell a suspect to reach for a weapon 2 minutes into a stop where the suspect is clearly on something and acting erratically? Im no cop but that goes against logic. Especially after the guy was already talking about killing people.

I mean, it’s a knife not a gun. If you are even a little worried it’s easy to step back and let him do it.

I might agree if this guy was acting anywhere near normal. But this guy was clearly fricked up and acting and talking crazy. I personally would not expect a cop to not be very cautious in that situation. So I feel like the cop was just trying to get the guy out the car and not wanting the guy to be fooling with weapons when he hasnt gotten a good handle on the situation with a clearly fricked up mind.

i can say this for sure, Georgetown cops are frickin assholes.

when covid was starting they had checkpoints up to block non-residents from going up a road to guanella pass. turned me around from a weekend drive up a scenic road

ive seen cops do some weak shite but that ones stuck with me

Maybe, maybe not. I'm putting my money on not. Regardless, idiot cops have state sanctioned authority to kill people and they inevitably do dumb shite like shooting a motorist in distress.

Quite the reach you are making there.

If you look at pics of the vehicle it is obviously stuck. You can see the front left tire is unloaded and had been spinning. He called 911 because he was stuck. The keys were on the dash.

I guess you missed the part where he said skin walkers were trying to run him off the road, trying to ambush him at the crash site, and he was going to kill them all.

Someone in that frame of mind, whether they are autistic or tripping on shrooms, is a clear danger to themselves and anyone around them, car or no car.

Also, not sure if this is true or not, but rumors are he slit his own throat after being shot.

This is so bizarre.....it is hard to believe that this actually happened. Surely no group of human beings can really behave in the manner shown in this video.

It makes a person wonder if there is not some sub-species of proto-human living amongst us that the genetic scientists have been keeping hidden from the public.

Did they kill this guy just because he looked and sounded funny?

I hope that the dolt on the hood is charged with murder and the rest with accessory.

that's the last little town i'd want to end up in while in the throws of a bad trip...

looks like a cool little place, but not with a head full of shrooms or acid in the middle of the night

I really am posting this because I can't start threads, but since it involves a cop I figured this would be an appropriate thread to post it.

Its a female cop who thought it would be a great idea to make this video while on duty in her cop car.

She pretty much says the same laws that apply to us, don't apply to cops and that they will always find a reason to pull someone over if they want to pull someone over.

She is saying what has always been know, but she got a 10 hr suspension for this.
