My son will be a freshman at ULL and he's needing to find a part time job. Does anyone know of openings that he could go by and fill out an application...thanks in advance

Try to get him to apply at retail stores, clothing, electronics, etc. easy jobs, easy to hit on women at the work place, and good hours with most stores having you off the clock by 10:30.

Try a bank. Good experience and he can see how many people struggle with finances. It might open his eyes a little bit.

Get him started with a job in the field he will be studying. Experience is everything and 4-5 years of it is huge before graduating.

eta: not a waiter or bartender, these people never pan out.

Meh. Back when I went to college businesses were seeking students out for hire, not the other way around. Times sure have changed. Good luck to your son.

What about on-campus jobs? I worked at the library and the cafeteria when I was in school. I'm trying to remember how those jobs worked -- I may have applied for them at the financial aid office or during registration.

Nobody has told the OP that the son needs to be a man and figure it out for himself?

OT is letting me down today.

Shouldn't he be doing this on his own? Have you sheltered him that much? My parents told me to go out and find a job when I was in high school so I drove around and did.

Wait tables or deliver pizza.

Flexible hours and a constant flow of (a little) cash.
